A representative democracy is the same thing as a republic. The terms are interchangeable.

So apparently not even the black face stuff at Covington was legit. It's a color theme, as seen by all their clothes being black as well. They had another theme called "white-out" where kids are wearing the same face paintings with white paint and other color accents on the face too, among plenty of other themes with face and body paint. I don't know how I didn't even think of this because I remember the same type of "black out" themes for parties or dances at my high school too. Somebody should have known it would eventually come back to haunt them though, someone thought they hit a jackpot when they dug up that still frame out of all the other videos they have out also. I'm so tired of this shit.

The protection of individual rights is the protection of minority rights, since everyone is ultimately a minority of one. This is meant to prevent the majority from violating the rights of the minority.

So you don't believe in property rights? I agree with you on the incarceration rates being too high, but that's not an invalidation of the importance of protecting individual rights.

You were essentially saying that Democracy is like two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner, and that a representative democracy is better, because it is not governed by the tyranny of the majority. So I asked you if you think the tyranny of the minority (elected officials, and one could argue the financial elite in our society) is better.

I think property rights is an interesting topic, for another time. I said that our government was designed to protect the rights of property owners, because back in the day, property owners were the only ones who could vote, and black people and women couldn't vote. The designers of our government didn't have personal liberty for everyone in mind, when they designed our government.

People lack vision.  Me too.  Somehow we lost that ability.  Food food food, sleep sleep sleep.

America had a lot of vision.  It's assumed the elite have more vision.  I think the burdens been hatd on them.  So many wars, they risk a lot.

Imagine risking billions?

That's the security in democracy.  But humans over think things far too much.

Hey now, I was a catholic boy that swam in barely anything for a long long time.

Got raped at age 5 changing out of one of those too.

It's got nothing to do with religion, just the mundane.  Kids aren't responsible for their out of control magic powers.

Boredom for a young'n is fear.

It might have a lot to do with religion when they have been caught red handed for decades and did nothing but enable more rape. I couldn't imagine being raped at a catholic swim session and not feeling it had any connection with the religion.
