What kind of tax revenue? Sales tax. Which actually accounts for more than 1/3 of state revenue in the US. Sales taxes don’t care if you are rich or poor. Everyone pays.

I just read the expose of the trump Westchester golf club on the front page of the post today. It’s filled me with rage. First, HALF THE FUCKING STAFF ARE ILLEGALS. Many had worked at the club for more than a decade. The management knew they weren’t legal. And they were all fired.
No severance. Nothing.

Trump is really an evil human being. It makes me sick that everyone else personally pays for his misdeads. Who is punished when he is discovered to be employing huge numbers of illegals? The workers who have been loyal employees. It’s disgusting. If you work for trump he just uses you and then throws you away if you are lucky enough to not end up in prison. He is a parasite.

I remember the days when having an illegal nanny would mean your nomination to the Supreme Court or some other high government position would not approved by the senate. It’s happened a few times. Now we have a president who has made cracking down on illegals his main political platform and the motherfucker hires more illegals than anyone I’ve ever heard of.

Why are his hiring practices not disqualifying?

Why are his supporters so fucking stupid they think this man actually cares about these issues? He used your stupidity and credulity to get into the White House, a position he’s interested in only to satisfy his narcissism and lust for power. You think he cares about the little guy? He just put 800,000 of his employees through hell for a month just to get his way on a policy. He couldn’t do it through skill, so he just held these peoples lives hostage for a month. He’s evil. Fucking evil.

Omg I’ve personally known at least a half dozen Canadians who have lived and worked in the US illegally. I bet it’s way more common than anyone knows.  But they’re white and they speak English well enough to pass as American so nobody even notices.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

Even if true, that's not the issue here. The US wants to CONTROL the immigration and know who's coming in to the country.


We can control most of the immigration by letting in as many immigrants as possible so we can tax them and for the rest of the border, patrolling works just fine. We have no wall now and everything is fine.

Do you support a Canadian wall? That is the border we should be worried about if we are worried about any border. People who want the wall believe  that immigrants from the South are criminals and inferior people. They think they are going to rape and murder them.

The wall is a big waste of money and it wont do anything. People will go over, under, and through it.

A wall is not cost effective and I believe I said something along those lines. I don't think I insinuated that illegal immigration is OK. I said we should let them all in legally and patrol the rest of the border.

No, cheap labor benefits the 1% at the cost to the other 99%. That's not the engine of economic growth the US needs.

The immigrants that build the US came from Europe and they were INVITED to enter the US because they also wanted cheap labor. That's COMPLETELY different than third world migrants illegally crossing the southern border. So don't ever compare my Polish ancestors that legally immigrated with the current shitfest that's taking place today.

Also, the US is under zero obligation to have any more legal immigrants coming to the US, so that's no solution at all.

Again, I'm not completely sold on the concept of a wall. I want border enforcement and illegals deported ASAP.

Considering the fact that there is apr. 1,650,000 illegals in Texas and there are 25,100,000 residents in the state of Texas, illegals are committing a disproportionate amount of the murders.

I would also like to correct myself.  I said originally

It’s actually 3.8 compared to 2.9.  Per 100,000 of course.

If you're so worried about mad men with large armies why are you so silent on China? Surely china is a bigger threat to human rights and world, rather than trump and the states, right?

Not everything is about economic growth. Some of these people are fleeing because their livelihood is in danger and we should let them in because of that, whether it helps fill your greedy pockets or not.

The immigrants that built the US came from all over the world. Literally every continent that has people. Some were invited, some were slaves, and some came illegally. Learn your history.

Yep, and then they will climb back over it, dig under it, or bring a battery bandsaw to cut through it. What would the point be? A wall is a dumb idea that will not work.

I think it was on page 1 of this thread that somebody got over the wall in like 12 seconds. The mexicans already have tunnels under the border. There was a section of steel wall that was cut big enough to get a person through. It looks like you could easily cut it with a battery bandsaw.

Have you ever seen some climb a coconut tree or telephone pole? You could just loop your belt through the slats and shimmy up the wall. Or ladder. Or grappling hook.

If your family was threatened by gangs and didn't have food and there was food and shelter on the other side of a wall would you be able to get there. Could you find a way over a wall to help your loved ones? If you traveled all the way from south america and you got to a wall would you go over it or turn back?

Oh that cherry picked vid? I already debunked that one. Good luck getting over a wall fast and efficiently while you just trekked across the desert and are spent physically and emotionally, all while border patrol is on your ass. Not to mention the wall would have spikes or barb.
I already said before that the wall wouldn't completely stop illegals. But it would definitely slow them down or at least out right stop many, right?
Can you deny that no matter what goes up, wall or slats, its  definitely an improvement to the current border, right?
We have current and historic examples of walls working. If you want to be ignorant to that information, then thats on you.

Yes, have a wall and enforce illegal immigration. Saying illegals are good is ridiculous. Saying that we need to document the ones that come makes perfect sense. If cheap labor is vital for America (agricultural) why not document and bring them in, they can work the season and after they get sent home? Canada does that.  Bringing in illegals to pick crops or whatever is irresponsible and is setting a bad precedent

How many videos of people climbing walls do you need to see? If they are tired then they can take a nap and eat a power bar before the climb the wall.

Spikes on the top are easy. You just gently stretch your legs over them like climbing a chain link fence. Barbed wire is harder, but nothing some pliers can't cut through. Or you just put a blanket or piece of carpet on the barbed wire.

Yeah the wall will slow them down by 12 seconds. Great, that is really worth almost 6 billion dollars.

A wall in not an improvement. An open border is fine. We have to let the animals migrate. Ever heard of a food chain? Do you know that we are already in the middle of a mass extinction and you want to make it worse because you don't want mexicans living in your neighborhood for some racist reason.

The only comparable wall would be the Great Wall of China right? And that didn't keep the Mongolians out did it?

Illegals aren't good, I mean they're good people, but we need them paying taxes to use our roads and schools. Immigrants are good and if we would let these people in and document them then they would be immigrants and not illegals. And I don't see any problem with them staying here or working for a while and then going back.

The Berlin and Israel walls are great examples of walls in action.  And animals migration paths are a small cost to pay to keep illegal immigrants out. I think you're completely out of touch with reality if you think that open borders are good and you think that itll only take 12 seconds to scale. More like 12 minutes :lol: I know 6 billion seems like a lot, but trust me you will never notice it missing. The United states has an abyss full of money. Take 6 billion out the military budget and everyone will be happy
