Liberty Caps in Virginia?

Ive been seeing some kind if confusing information on this site regarding P.Semilanceata in Virginia. Officially on Shroomerys page, it lists these as found in Virginia. However,I cant find anyone from VA actually posting these as a find on here. In addition to that, some people have commented on others posts saying it could be too far south to find. This will be my first season actually hunting liberty caps (hoping to find some Amanita Muscaria or Jacksonii as well!) and am curious if anyone has had luck in Virginia before. Im towards SW Virginia if that helps.

I am familiar with the habitat and conditions I need to be looking for but I also dont want to end up in a pasture field for hours looking for a mushroom that is super rare to my state :rolleyes:

In the occurrence list it is said to be very rare in VA.
Your best bet is probably Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata.

Gotcha. On the actual page for semilanceata it doesnt make that little footnote. My bad.

At any rate, I suppose Ill still head out tis month to look for edibles and actives but just forget about liberty caps :frown:
