Please Please say these are liberty caps??
    #4792539 -

i have been stomping around the local fields around me looking for shrooms since they became class A and have failed to find anything rambling a liberty cap just coming back with toad stalls with nipples! until i found these, i found them next to a stream in quite wet grass previously used to graze sheep. i went looking while it was raining as i thought this would be a perfect time. the shrooms have brownish black gills and when i took a spore print this proved to be purple/black. CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM THAT THESE ARE INDEED MAGIC BECAUSE I'M EXCITED BY THIS FIND

Because Liberty Caps (Psilocybe Semilanceata) don't look like that. They have a seperable pellicle, too. They usually have a "nipple" on the top of the cap. They will, often, bruise blue, and.......those just aren't them. It is obvious to me, anyway.

When you find something that resembles, what I described, take a spore print, by cutting the stem off, near the cap, placing the cap, gills down, on a sheet of white paper, and dropping a small drop of water on top of the cap. Wait for a few hours, or even a whole day. Then just move aside the cap, and there should be a spore print.

If the spore print is purplish-brown, then you should post a picture of it, along with pictures of the mushroom and a detailed description, which you can find a template of, in the Forum Rules post. Good luck.

Here are a few pictures of P. Semilanceata. Keep a mental image of these in your head.

IF this was found in the southeast...I would say it resembles more of a Pan Cyan or atleast Pan antillarum more than a libierty cap. Ive never heard of copes growin in sheep fields though.

No. Not a pan, not a lib. They're Concybes or Mycena of some sort. Not active, quite possibly poisonous
