Reconciling the Inner from the Outer of ourselves: How We Began the Religious Practice

i think all our concepts for gods, whether for the elements and proponents to living, and other mystical concepts, such as astrological gods or other such things, Hermeticism.

then we eventually came up with religions: the ultimate and absolute God.

why?

i think it's because we could not reconcile the difference from Inner and Outer experience; let me explain my theory...

i think that when humans first evolved, they lived like common animals, basically. they had to act on their instincts to survive, they had to kill to eat, they had to defend themselves, and procreate. i think the impelling of human nature devoured the human spirit, so to speak, and sucked up dry. i think back then, we didn't like ourselves, in the dark, those sleepless, noisy nights; the dreams...most importantly the dreams. i think those dreams; and most importantly, the thoughts, the feelings, and emotions, that sting of conscience that humans contract -- empathy -- eventually eked it's way to cause of many an invention; like fire, and other survival tools, & resources, to extricate: i'd like to think that our philosophical tools, like our artistic tools, mind you, are just that; tools AND resources to be extricated. so, not only do we fight to survive, we also fight to empathize.

essentially, we made up things, ceremonies, myths, other creations...to dabble in, to babble in; and sometimes to strive in; or sometimes, sadly, to strife in. eventually, we had to "surrender our will" to a 'master God'...imagine the immensity of the concept, literally.

in the course of human history, and human nature, it is immense. but it's also just par the course. where are we now?

I agree with some of what your saying, I think...

Here's how I see your argument. Your saying that humans have a tendency to not want to live with the responsibility that comes with free will and they would rather just submit to a master as to avoid making a mistake that may result in the loss of their own accord's in culture.

More simply, humans for the most part lack the confidence in their own ability to reason so they just decided to let one "Wise" person in their group to do the reasoning for everyone else.

If this is the argument than I'd tend to agree, mostly. When I say mostly, all I mean is the obvious exception to this rule that comes in the form of rebellion in nature. Some people are conformists and some are rebellious. The conformist's needed to create a being higher than any of the other conformist so the "wisest" conformist more than likely just made an attempt to describe an inherent knowledge that may have been taken way too seriously by other conformists. The thinking conformist's would most likely discuss these interpretations as axioms until they were to become so fragmented and convoluted by the thinking conformist's ego's that little sense was left in the description.

Meanwhile, the rebel lived an awesome, slightly shorter life experience that was ripe full of the depth of experience as it is the rebel's nature to not be afraid and to always thirst for the more depth in their personal experience in exchange for their own cultural accord's that come from meaningless conformity.

And then there's the conformorebel... I don't feel like trying to explain the conformorebel but I will say I think that most people these day's are more or less conformorebels.
