Give Shroomism Banning Privelages

anyone who is in otd often can see that shroomism is the one whose been keeping that place on track recently. hes been the one locking the threads that need locking and keeping an eye out for puppets. recently i have noticed offensive puppets have been able to linger around for much to long and offend several people. shroomism is there more than most mods and ready to act. he seems to have a very good taste in who needs to be banned. i say give shroomism banning privelages. :thumbup:

That would be cool.. I'm usually around when all the OTD puppets make their grand appearance..I'm lucky like that I guess. But I usually have to sit on my hands until an admin comes on. If it's too difficult technically I understand.. I certainly don't want admin priveleges...too much responsibility  :crazy: unless I could be like a super cool community admin or something :cool:

I do more than you know :wink: I just keep it all behind the scenes. Ima supermaXX puppet hunter too, but they know better than to show up on my watch. Daytimes aren't that bad with the puppets. Shroomism does a whoopity whoop ass job handling them afterhours. :thumbup:

oh i am aware that you handle puppets well, DBK4life...what im saying is i talk to shroomism a lot and he always seems to point out an annoying puppet, say it should get banned, then he sits around doing nothing while the puppet harrases users because he has no uber powers.

I do the same. It's just up to the admins to check IP's and such to verify puppets and trolls. It sure as Hell would be a lot easier to be able to take care of them ourselves, but with the admins verifying everything, it's just an added level of protection. Kinda a CYA type thing. :wink: Shroomism's lucky. I never get any good puppets during the day. :frown:

i didnt completley mean give shroomism privelages only, i was just talking about how this delay shit with puppets is ridicilous so i decided to make a thread on it. he was chattin to me while i was makin it so i decided to use him as an example.

Yeah, I know what you meant. We all have to go to the admins with any suspected puppets. It's just a measure of control. Nobody wants a ban happy mod. Imagine Doobie as a mod with banning powers??!! Oh boi, the horror! :wink: :tongue:

It is a kick ass idea though. Maybe something can be implimented, like a temp ban until it can be reviewed by an admin for suspected puppets. That would be cool. :smile:

I asked shroomism yesterday to ban that gay porn guy. I thought he DID have banning power. Still, I hate to see people banned. I think that dude should've been warned by the admins to change his signature, which might have happened but i dunno. But the less people who have the power to ban the better, IMO.

edit: Uhh, yeah puppets are a different story. I hate seeing people breaking other rules banned but puppets are the most annoying thing possible on a BB.
