man... someone (the inventor) of putting a blender tip on the inside of a LI jar should really make a separate topic and tek for that.

I pop in here from time to time, and me trying to find everything about this would be a long time...

you will need 40cc of spores solution which will contain millions and millions of spores..
:sagan:
with LI u can use a single drop of spore solution and expand it cleanly

also the shake that distribute the live mycelium everywhere in the jar, with spores u cannot shake, u have to wait for a good germination:thumbup:

Did not think of that, thanks man. I do like how you can shake on inoculation to get multiple colonisation points instead of waiting.

Who cares who was the inventer, or the first one using it in shroomery... Muda was the first one to make an actual 14 pages TEK, now everyone want to use it.

I found this from this TC

man there are tons of LI thread all over the OMC not much on this forum though. for some reason there is this theory that it is a waste of time. you guys are arguing over petty shit. yeah its in the mushroom cultivator. hell ive seen some fairly fancy utensils for making liquid inoculants lab grade. but you can do the same thing with glass jars and a blender. thats the beauty of it. and alien the only reason its 14 pages is because newbs that didn't believe it worked are now fascinated. post padding lol.

its still a great method. ive been using it more than 14 years.

in fact when i first read liquid inoculants it was there long before i ever grew 17 years ago.

heres one from 05.

you should probably read everything agar posts. aka mycota aka 6tango. guys a master with liquids. all the lids you see everyone using this guy invented.

here is an explanation of why it is faster.

I think we have a culture here that discounts a lot of information as old. Just because it was written a long time ago doesn't make the information out dated. Those teks that the old hands used will still work.

I know that I've been poking around in some old threads recently and it has generated some new found respect for the guys that were growing 10-15 yrs ago.

I don't know why i think that you still think that LI is the same as LC.

...LC is other thing for me. With LC you let the mycelium grow for days giving chance and letting other competitor organisms growing too in a nutrient aqueous medium. With LI you use it instantly, no chance for contams to grow. What muda did was not create a fancy blender tek but more importantly to separe those two terms LC-LI, and no one did that before. For me LI is superior, LC never attracted me, if i would try a liquid medium would be LI. Don't misunderstand me, i know all the possibilities that can be open with liquid spawn mediums.

Technically LCs are a form of LI. I just started referring to the agar to sterile water that I make as LI and it kind of stuck but eatyu has been doing this for a long time so none of this is new to him.

I like that LC can be stored for a fair amount of time and kept in a colonizing state. But I plan to try LI lots cause its too easy, just pick a plate

Ok, then it would be LCLI. But is clearly superior than just LC. Yeah Eatu is the shit.

liquid cultures liquid inoculants. categorized in the same fashion. i dont' think they are the same.

one has nutes the other doesn't.

i agree i like LI better.

you should look at that LC baby bottle tek from agar it is fantastic. waylit and myc use that for their woodlover's beds.

You can have nutrients in a LI if you want, just blend a BRF cake like you did.

your adding it to sterilized water. it does have nutrients but i would classify it as LI because your not growing it out in the liquid culture then injecting it. for liquid culture the intent is to grow more liquid culture for inoculant. whereas, Liquid inoculant the goal is to colinize using mycelial water as fast as possible and not try to expand the culture. i mean your expanding it in your substrate. but i mean stand alone expanding it.

Well... you expand it in the agar wedge first, so technically is expanded.

But only a little bit. Most of the expansion is simply a function of a division of nock points. With LC you are growing the myc.
