my brain on mushrooms...

First off, this is my first post. :-) And I'll give a bit of background on me. I'm in highschool, and I do mushrooms quite a bit, along with other drugs. But, by far I participate in eating mushrooms the most. Anyways, recently I've noticed that whenever i focus on somthing, it seems to morph around as if I were coming down from zooming. Well, not quite so intense as that, but things still move around. I'd like to know whether or not mushrooms could be the cause of it, and if it would will ever go away. Also, if it were to get worse if I keep eating shrooms.
If anyone could answer these questions, I'd be very happy, as I don't really want to go to my doctor...

can you describe the issue in different terms?

You mean you're noticing more "resonance" in your vision?

Just trip less often man, I don't believe shrooms do any permanent damage to your brain or anything, it sounds to me like your just tripping too often. Space it out to at least once a month, I trip around twice a year and it makes the trips more "special". When you do something too often it loses its magic and just becomes the norm, make it something special for good occasions and you'll enjoy the trips that much more plus probably reducing the sober mind trips.

Of course you dont want to go to the doctor, but it maybe nessassary.
After readin' your post i was struck with the simalarity between yourself and a good friend of mine. He suffers from HPPD. You can find some further information here.

shit thats crazy.. when I focus on hard subjects in skewl I get really bad head aches. This only happens the first month after I trip, then it gets way better. I get them occasionally now (1-3 times a month for 4-10 minutes), and its been about 2 months since I tripped.

I allways see those patterns on the dark sky or with eyes closed, and if I fix an object with my eyes for a long time, it is slightly morphing.
I have these sensations since I took LSD for the first time, more than 20 years ago. But it was never a big handicap in my everyday life.

The symptoms become weaker, the longer I don't trip. I trip about three or four times/year (on mushrooms, no LSD anymore :frown: ). I didn't know, this thing is called HPPD.

No I don't think its HPPD. Well, if it is, its just a slight case. I think HPPD is usually caused by acid, and its a relation to flashbacks or trails. I think zoomers can cause them, but its a very low percentage... but w/e. I think it might just be me, and I'm controlling what my eyes are seeing. Cause I can stop the morphing on command, and start it just by focusing. Any ways, any more suggestions on what you think it might be, or if you have had any experiences like this, would be greatly appreciated.

HPPD is caused by phycedelic drug use. It matters not if its L.S.D 'shrooms, Salvia or the myraid of other phycotropics out there.
Its continued usage of these substances that trigger this condition.
Its like deslixia(sp) in respect that a large percentage of suffers go unnoticed due to ignorance.
