YEah Catnip is cute and then after a while they build a tolerance and it doesn't do nothing for them any more.
Have you ever seen cats find catnip in its natural growing stages.
Like the horse that eats Jimpson weed and then abuses its body by thrashing it into the surrounding trees and brush.
While certain animals get high on Amanitas and some on psilocybe, it is up to them to go get it to play like quirrels and deers ddo. B;lowing moke int heir fac es is obnoxious and if someone blue smoke inmy face I could bust thenm one upside the head. ANimals do not know how to defend their lungs when you force it into their throats.
Becasue thats what you are doing.
They do not understand why yo do that to them.

I used to live in Naples Florida and go out and pick shrooms all the time. I had a dog that I used to take with me to help keep an eye out for snakes. This dogs name was Jada. One day after I came back and was cleaning my shroom's ,Jada was sitting there watching me. I had already eaten a few and put a big one out towards her and she chomped it right down. She got so high from it. We had the best trip that night. We went to the beach and ran through the water. She went crazy running around acting like a little puppy(she was an older dog). We came back a snuggled on the couch for the rest of the trip. It was the closest I have ever been to an animal. After that I had to hide my shroom's from Jada or she would try to eat them. Also I had to stop taking her out picking because she would eat them out of the field. I can say without a doubt that she enjoyed the intoxication of our sacred mushroom's. Why would'nt she , she was a creature of god just like me. Weather it's ethically right to give an animal shroom's is something i'm not going to try an debate. To say that no animal enjoy's shroom's or other entoxicating plant's is complete bullshit. Mabye some don't ,but there are some that do. My dog was one of them.

Yeah, the cat doesnt like the smell of my smoke. Which is why it comes running and willingly sticks its own nose up to my mouth. Its not about whehter or not my cats like it, they do, thats a fact. I understand my animals.
Saying that it is "cruel" to allow any animal to take any drug is pretty ridiculous. Circumstance and the fact that animals are as different from each other as people are make a stance like that completely ridiculous, and you should realize it.
Of course, that picture of the deer really does put your point across effectively. Or something.

One day when he got home from work, he saw his dog sitting on a lay-z-boy, smiling away. He was confused that the dog didn't greet him, but didn't think anything of it. So he went to take a shower. When he came back down stairs, he noticed his shrooms were gone from the table, and that the dog was in the exact same position as before. He freaked out and went up to his dog, but the dog was just smiling and panting. Then my buddy started laughing, and phoned me to tell me what happened. The dog didn't leave his spot for i think 2 days. He eventually started scratching at the door to get out and pissed for a LONG time. This happened a few years back.

I gotta say I dont agree with dosing animals, but since I know people are going to do it anyways I figure I will share a link just so people are aware of potential dangers, first THC can be lethal in dogs just so you are aware, while the lethal dose is fairly high for dogs it is still a potentially lethal thing for them (link shared at bottom of post from VCA animal hospital) and secondly I'm not sure about the potential lethality of psilocybin in dogs but I do know on the list of foods your not supposed to give dogs mushrooms are listed and while I assume they are talking about common edible mushrooms I would also be willing to bet that psilocybin mushrooms would be highly recommended not to feed to your animals. Just figured you all should be aware because that would suck to accidently poison your best friend.

Thank you i agree! But my dog seems to be depressed and i wonder if i mixed in .05 grams of golden teachers in his brakefast once a week, i wonder if it would perk him up like how they help my depression? I love my dog and i can feel his soul and it feels sad. My vet suggested Prozac for my boy, but i take sertraline and hate how it makes me feel so i don't fill his prescription but he is only 4 years old and acts so uninterested in every thing, he wont even get up for treats

haha on one hand I wanna say it's wrong to drug your hamster but on the other hand we as a species test all our drugs on rodents. People get really sanctimonious about pets but I guarantee you all of the people ragging on you eat factory farmed animal products regularly.
It kind of makes me sick to see people on their high horse about drugging a fucking hamster when they will gladly endorse industrial livestock. Just a common form of mental gymnastics. I know it's a strawman argument but seriously it pisses me off how emotional people get about pets then they turn around and eat a steak.
Anyways nobody can know what your hamster's seeing but if he's not showing signs of distress I guess it's no harm no foul.
Just realized this is a prehistoric thread. Maybe if shroomery stopped displaying 18 year old posts at the bottom of the page we wouldn't have so many necros. Then again I love to see these old posts.

Your dog is depressed? Do you give them enough exercise? A microdose probably wont hurt your dog. I mean I personally wouldn't, and would never give them a large amount. But you could do way worse.
