My very first mush-toy... was/is a yellow hackey sack with a smiley face stitched on it. It makes me feel good... whenever I feel like I'm getting scared or about to go off on a bad trip, I just look at that smiley face, and I can't help but.. well.. smile!

the best trip toy ever invented is a REALLY comfortable bed. As simple as it sounds, it's multi dimensional when you're tripping:

First, there are the covers. They're like water. They breathe, and comfort, and fly if you throw 'em right. They're dark on the inside, and colorful on the outside (the good kind, at least).

Then, the matress itself. It's SO soft. You can lie there, you can roll around, and it's ever so good for sex. The mattress is wonderful.

The oft overlooked part of the bed, though, is ABSOLUTELY the most important part when you're tripping - under the bed. It's dark, it's spooky, it's inconspicuous, and, if you're lucky, you can chase a cat under there. Being under the bed with a cat is trippy as all hell. Especially, from personal experience, if the bed makes you choose whether the cat or the golden monkey standing next to him will die.

Have fun with the bed. Never underestimate it.

one was a plastic wendy's spoon that a friend drew a face on and talked to all through the evening; we'd forget it was there but then he'd make the spoon 'say' something and we'd crack up all over again.

the second thing was one of those little red glow sticks (very mundane and typical, i know) that we tied to a green piece of ribbon and threw around the room whenever one of us wanted to talk....kinda like that bear skin or whatever in that one saved by the bell episode......

swimming in lake or pond in the middle of the night. You just sit there and float with black all around you and sometimes the fish come and talk to you. I suggest a babysitter if you're going to use a snorkel and mask, though.

Driving through fields with Ravi Shankar music playing (If you havn't tripped to Ravi, you havn't tripped, Period).

Get into a dark, confined room, listen to Tool, and stare at a strobe light.

Watch woodgrain while listening to The Tea Party.

Go to a petting zoo or where you can find animals that arn't afraid of people. They talk with the craziest voices and it just cracks you up.

Walk through a completely dark forest in the middle of the night with no flashlight (scary enough to make you wet your pants if the conditions are right). You just might come around a corner and stumble upon a lightsaber duel like I did...

Do anything with attractive women...

Clouds...watch clouds on relatively overcast days. My god, they start doing the wierdest things, and if you thought you saw things in the clouds before...Whoa...watch out for those lions that try to bit off your face, or the energy bursts that shoot down and kill the cats....

1 Roll up a sheet of typing paper lengthwise so you can look through it like a tube.

2 Now, place the tube in the webbing between your LEFT index finger and thumb.

3 Now look through tube with your RIGHT eye, keeping BOTH eyes open and look at some point across the room!

4 Cool, huh? Now take a pen and put it into the other end of the tube (careful not to poke your eye!)

5 weerd, no?

You take birdseed, it has to be the kind that is a bunch of little spherical smooth seeds. You take them and put them in a plastic zip-lock bag.

It feels cool just to move the bag of birdseed around in your hand...

...but if you really wanna trip, open the bag up and submerge your hand in the seed. Its like you can feel everyseed melt and roll off your hand like water...

Also great on extacy... you must try this though. It feels so amazing!

Oh another great trip toy is simply water!
Go to a sink and turn the cold tap on and play with it in your hands and marvel at its ingenuity!

just to blow em, but take a look at the perfect resolution of the bubbles in all variety and sizes
blowing soapbubbles will keep you entertained through eternity....

Other favorites:
Cigarettes, they produces these little sparks that fly through the air

Bubbles, blow bubbles, and then with the stick try to keep the bubbles aflaot by bouncing them on top of each other, you will have hours of entertainment trying to keep them off the ground

Coloring, you get absorbed in your picture

Crystals or the massage balls, roll these around in your hand, and you can feel the energy in them, its like they are sticking to your finger tips!!!
