My UFO Encounter...

There has been some argument the last couple of weeks about the existance of UFO's on here, and anyone's experience is purely subjective, unless they have some sort of proof (and I don't), but I'd like to recount my experience, since it is a little more substancial than lights in the sky... All right, I was on my way to Norway, flying on Northwest over the Atlantic Ocean. I had a window seat, and next to me where my grandma and grandpa. We had an in-flight movie, and at the end of it, most everyone was asleep. I never went to sleep, I just talked to my grandma and continously watched the skies. Not much was going on out there, it was dark, we were over the ocean, and the only thing I could see in the sky was like two blinking lights far on the horizon (on Greenland and Iceland, I am guessing). At about 4 in the morning (Amsterdam time, one loses seven hours on the trip from Minneapolis to Bergen), the lights came on and they started to bring out breakfast. I looked back out the window about a minute later, and at a distance, there was a red and a white light with a bizzare blinking pattern. My grandma had happened to look out the window, and said "oh look, there is another plane out there", and then stopped looking. I just sort of nodded and kept watching. The lady with our breakfast started handing us our breakfast, but I kept watching. The lights started to get closer to the plane, and I noticed a dim green light in between the two blinking lights. The lady tried getting my attention to hand me breakfast, but I ignored her and kept looking out. It got as close as it could to our side of the plane and flew over it! I looked up at it from underneath, and it had a circular shape. Very fucking spooky, to say the least. I was completely sober, and don't suffer from any delusions or visual disorders. I couldn't claim that I know what was piloting the airplane, alien or government pilot, but it was just the plane and it, the UFO, above the sky, nothing to "reflect swamp gas", no "satellite", no airplane. The thing appeared suddenly, out of a vast, clear sky in about one minute, got closer, and flew over the plane. Got as close as it could and fucking flew over it. So, there you have it, my account. I find it evidence of something spectacular, even if it is possible it was piloted by a man, or maybe remote controlled. But it was a genuine saucer, one red light and one white light flashing on each side, and one dim green light somewhere above the saucer base. You, of course, can make of it what you wish. It is up to you, as you haven't seen it, it isn't so easy to believe. Question my eyes or not.... Peace.

Airplanes have non-blinking green, white and red position lights, and blinking white and red anti-collision lights that flash once or twice per second, approximately. Does this fit in with the blinking lights you saw?

I don't believe so... There were only the two red and light, blinking lights. They had quite the weird pattern. The green light was above and centered between the two blinking lights, and was only visible when it was very close. I had been looking out the sky for hours. I looked away for a minute or two, looked back, and here was this light. It was at some distance from the ship. It then started coming closer (the lights got bigger), and it then actually flew over the plane. The view from below, when it did this, was a perfect circlular object, with the red light on one side and the white light on the other.
We were above the clouds. Nothing could have hidden the airplane, if it was one, from view. To have been flying next to us, at the same time, doesn't make sense to me... it would have had to have been taking the same exact path, the same start and the same destination.
To have suddenly appeared, as if it was behind us, it would have had to have been moving very fast, and none of this accounts for the object, even if it had not been a saucer, to have flown directly over the airplane...
I don't believe airplanes fly so close to each other, something about airspace laws..
If it was an airplane, it would have been possible that it would have came from Ireland, and was following a path that would cross our path... but I believe they are timed so that the planes do not cross the same point at the same time. And, as it flew over, it was light enough to see the outline of the bottom of the flying object. No airplane would have had a perfect circular shape, with a light on each side... the green one not being visible as it flew over.. definitely no wings on it, either..
There was no mistake in what I saw. Once again, you can decide for yourselves, trust my judgement in what I saw, since it is entirely subjective. But I do find that this account is a lot more valid in the defense of UFO's than the ones reported earlier, flashing lights in the sky and such... Peace.

I have no problem with your story as you do not extrapolate and theorize on minimal data; you simply report which is as it should be.

i saw a "UFO" the other night at about 1am, with my wife (who saw it also).
Something was flying very far out (so it seemed, was very pale, no lights) and it went accross the horizon, i thought it might be a satelite, but i was traveling VERY fast (cleared the sky in about 10 seconds)...it wasnt 'fast' to be a shooting star (they go faster to my knowledge)...i dont know what the hell it was, it was cool tho....
(it 'seemed' to be the distance the stars were , as if a star was traveling accross the sky, altho it wasnt...it was dimer than a star, and you could only see it if you didnt look directly at it..?)

Which is as it should be... I can only make what I can from the evidence I saw; there is no way in hell that I could say who was in it, etc... I wanted to stop and talk to the pilots, say maybe something like this: "I'm curious, perhaps you may have seen something in the sky while we were south of the Irish coast?" hehe. I do believe that they must see some things that most people do not see, since they have such a view, above the clouds... I suspect that our pilots and their pilots hold a mutual respect for each other, must be a fly boy thing...
It is a little past one in the morning right now here, actually... just about 6-7 p.m. back in the states. Enjoy the night, I already did! (ahh, the lovely 18 and older drinking laws.... by the way, I'm not gloating. no, of course not me! hehe) Peace.

thats tight dood. i completely believe you because i have no reason not to...i have experienced some wild shit in my life and generally people dont believe and almost trick me into not believing. you saw what you saw. dont tell everyone though! some things like these need to stay somewhat confidentiial, who knows who's listening ;]

I try to never let people impose their beliefs on me.... It is like the Discovery Channel. They bring up a topic that one probably doesn't know a lot about, they present the facts, and even representatives from both sides of thought, and play them out..... but they always leave it up to you to decide what to believe, they never tell you what to believe (although sometimes, the people representing one side of thought do)
I only mention things when necessary, and am usually careful about what I say around different people. It isn't from a "caring what others think about me" sort of thing, I could really care less, but why mention your experience of drugs or certain things you see if it isn't relevant? I am not ashamed of what I do, because I do what I want to do, and there is always a very good reason why I do, a lot of good judgement on my part. But I don't go waving anything in anyone's faces.. Peace.

Hmm, could it have been a helicopter?
I suppose it's impossible to say how far away it was in the darkness, but could you give an estimate how large it seemed (distance between the lights) compared to a full moon, if the full moon had been visible at the same time?

Well, at first, it was just the two red and white blinking lights, and I couldn't really make out a shape until it flew over the airplane. The circular bottom wasn't all that big, I guess, if it had flown between my view and the full moon, if it was there, it would have covered most of it... Definitely not a helicopter, though. A helicopter would have had a light on the tail, and when it flew over the airplane, I could see the outline of the entire thing, and it was completely circular, with no appendages. It wasn't all together that big, though. Peace.
