Who here can prove to me that there is a God?  I was raised in a very religious home but never had a relationship with God, now I find myself questioning if there is even a God in the way many Christians believe there is. The fact that they say Jesus is the literal son of god, the fact the bible says god walked on earth with Adam and eve or the talking snake that tempted them into eating the magical fruit, and many story's of the bible. I can't come to grips with many story's like Noah and the fact he lived to be 950 years old, or the tower of babble being the reason we have different languages and dialects. It seems to me that mays Christians use the bible to strip some people of their human rights. They say homosexuality if an abomination but in the same passage so is wearing two different fabrics on your person or planting two different seeds in the same field, while the catholic priests can continue touching boys. I also find it strange that storys like dionices and mythra have the same life storys as Jesus and the fact that none of Jesues disciples witnessed his death or that John the baptist was a bigger religious figure than Jesus was in his lifetime. If the bible is the definitive work and word of God than why did he not give it to everyone and if you can't say the bible is 100 percent fact that can you say it is fact at all? What do my fellow shroomery think about this?
