Psychology is useless for empathy but fantastic for business.

No teaching can help one gain ability in taking time to understand the suffering of others and considering all the possibilities it could stem from.

However, the teachings of psychology give us fantastic language for categorizing people for billing purposes.

Psychology is about self discovery imo. Not about creating empathy.  It's also not about opening cans of dog food. :shrug:

This.

Plus, it's different for everyone in the learning of psychology. Anyone could have gone through depression, anxiety, trauma etc.,(at point or another in their life) and still get to understand those they treat.

Of course there are other aspects, but my post was centered around mental emotional states of disorders and such.
