That's exactly why it's unfalsifiable, we cannot "peer beyond death". It is impossible.



I think that this question of whether reincarnation exists or not is kind of unanswerable.
If we reincarnate, it is completely irrelevant
What me from this life and me from a previous life hav in common are completely different things
So to say that we are related, reincarnated or not, is irrelevant

well what if you have in common traits that are very fundamental to your current ego.  maybe all your talents and virtues recycle...and so do your anxieties and vices :headbanger: Some people meditate the first time and fall into a bliss state, others feel very little.  Some people take psychedelics and instantly become much more spiritual and open to ideas of that nature, other people feel no impetus in that direction.  Sure, some might say we were all just born that way, but I detect a process of evolution that goes beyond this life. 

And you're right, future incarnations aren't "you."  Before you even get to your next life your willpower will have totally died, your self concept totally destroyed as your merge with the absolute. but maybe, with enough clarity and understanding....the thinnest thread of will might continue. ITT: keep practicing guitar, it took jimi hendrix a few lives also :peace:  But you still gotta kill it in this one or you're not going anywhere!!!!

This has probably been mentioned earlier in this thread, but watch the movie "Enter the Void," and you will see a logical explanation for how reincarnation might occur.

The idea of being reincarnated is rather appealing to me and I can see how much faith you have in it guru but you haven't showed any evidence. It's true, Poid and Icelander aren't lying to you.

I even really feel I understand what your trying to say and have had this "intense" feeling you describe yet I need evidence.

So what do you guys say, let's end this pointless "debate".

No ones going to manage to convert anyone. It's a rare thing to happen on the internet.
