With british troops in the middle of Basra and americans in Baghdad and not the slightest hint of a chemical attack are any of the right-wingers who were utterly convinced Saddam had "weapons of mass destruction" feeling slightly silly?

Although it still may be too early to tell for sure...personally I don't think they have any WMD's

I think if i had them and i were an Iraqi i would have used them by now,especaily if i was a mad hell bent dictator.So somthing seems wrong in what we've all been told.G.w Bush and Tony Blairs proof of wmd's that they werent allowed to show us is the recipts from when we sold them imo.

edit -Alex: I doubt it. They havent had time to look for any, really. There is a war going on. If you can call it a war. More like a butchering. Oh well, guess they shouldve surrendered!

If the Iraqis are smart, they're destroying all their WMD this very moment. America will look REALLY bad if we go in there and find nothing.

They have reports right now of finding some. I personally feel they do have them, because I have read about US companies that supplied them. However the existence of these weapons is not sufficient cause to invade and occupy an entire country. On another note I heard the Iraqi death toll for military units has easily topped 100,000. That is a shitload of dead human beings.

no no al... you see... they knew all along that they may or may not find find 'weapons of mass destruction'... hence, they covered their asses and called it 'operation iraqi freedom', and played the humanitarian angle of rescuing the iraqi people from a tirant.

and it seems as though they just found some. of course, we'll probably never know if they were indeed 'discovered' or planted there, but it really matters not.
