I don't like make up, I won't put down someone for it though.
It is much more fun to blame men or women, divided and conquered by business with vested interest in making you feel unworthy of society until you use their products.

Business played you, end of story. Create an artificial demand and rake in the profits.

I'm not sure I understand you correctly, but if you're saying men and women are both victims of business, then I agree.

In terms of makeup, I'd wager you would have no idea I wear any at all. If you didn't know, but I then told you, would it change your perception of me? Is it the idea of a woman wearing makeup itself that you don't like?

I don't like makeup, the wasted time figuring out a correct amount etc. If someone does wear it I will treat them no different than if they wore none. I hate the social conditioning to pressure those that do not wish to waste such time on it though. I don't believe in free will, just constant feedback from birth. Some are more susceptible than others.

Some could argue make up could be natural fruit pulp used by primitive man and woman or whatever. It is still deception to the primitive mind.

I don't care if women shave, wear deodorant, make up. As long as they do remain clean and without foul odor. I got tired of the quest for an artificial beauty when I close my eyes everyone looks the same anyway.

She was one hot little sex kitten. It's so funny to me that for the sexually repressed public they had to hide how sexual they actually were. How lame is that?

We by nature do not understand truly what we want in sexual liberation. We become enslaved to our perceived freedom as we become numb to what was prior taboo.

Men, Women, and War: Gender Differences in Attitudes towards War
Quote:
This study showed that war does have an appeal to both men and women, but that appeal is different and is related to the set of moral concerns that are unique to each gender. To assess the different aspects of men's and women's attitudes towards war, a 48-item Likert-type scale was constructed and administered to 148 students. Results showed that women will support war, at least as enthusiastically as men, when an appeal is made based on empathy for oppressed and vulnerable human beings, or an emphasis is placed on group cohesion and intensification of interpersonal relationships in the community during war. The data indicated that men are more prone than women to justify war according to rational and legal criteria, and that women find it more difficult than men to accept, condone, or justify any acts of violence, killing, and destruction during war. It was also found that men more than women accept stereotypical sex roles during war, e.g., men as warriors and protectors and women as caretakers

Women in the military - Wikipedia
Quote:
Women in the military have a history that extends over 4,000 years into the past, throughout a vast number of cultures and nations. Women have played many roles in the military, from ancient warrior women, to the women currently serving in conflicts.

Despite various roles in the armies of past societies, the role of women in the military, particularly in combat, is controversial and it is only recently that women have begun to be given a more prominent role in contemporary armed forces. As increasing numbers of countries begin to expand the role of women in their militaries, the debate continues.

Helen - Wikipedia
Quote:
In Greek mythology, Helen (in Greek, Ἑλένη – Helénē), known also as Helen of Troy (and earlier Helen of Sparta), was the daughter of Zeus and Leda (or Nemesis), daughter of King Tyndareus, wife of Menelaus and sister of Castor, Polydeuces and Clytemnestra. Her abduction by Paris brought about the Trojan War. Helen was described by Dr. Faustus in Christopher Marlowe's eponymous play as having "the face that launched a thousand ships."

Isn't it extremely arrogant to run around with your boobs half naked and then dare to look down on men for looking to your boobs and say "omg men only think about sex!".

What the fuck is wrong with women anyway? Imagine men running around with their balls exposed.. I mean.. seriously, wtf are women, thinking how can they be so extremely arrogant? It's a mystery to me... can anyone shed some light on this?

You could say "It's culture, one women does it, so they all copy it" but this doesn't explain why women have the arrogance to go and say that men only think about sex, or that men shouldn't stare at boobs when they are exposing their boobs like that?! It's like putting bait on a hook and then getting mad at the fish for eating the bait?! Wtf!?

Women probably don't know why they do this either. Men and women have different instincts.

Women seem to have the instinct of doing a number of things: they make an effort to influence men to think about sex constantly, they make an effort to with-hold sex from men unless they jump through a number of hoops, they bash women as sluts who give men sex with very little cost to the man, and they have an instinct to cover up that this is even happening(which is what you are complaining about).

Basically women historically have depended on men for money and so they developed the instinct to raise the cost of sex and to also make men desire sex intensley so that they could get the most out of a man. This sort of behavior though is pretty annoying and so I hope that women will become less dependant on men.

This really isn't much evidence that women are involved in war as much as men. In fact its quite obvious that they are not. Not even close.

I agree it is a generalization and doesn't apply to women in general. But the truth is is that men are most concerned with looks and women are most concerned with what school a man went to and what his job is. There are of course exceptions. The result of this though is that men become obsessed with money and women become obsessed with cosmetics.

Sorry MT, didn't know who to RE

I just wanted to express that often I feel quite exasperated by all the gender polarising and stereotyping that goes on in this forum...women are this (blah blah blah...) men do this (blah blah blah...)

Is it really necessary to use such blatant and ignorant generalisations?

Genetics are not set in stone. If gender roles were to change a little through cultural activism than what is genetically programmed into us would also change. So I would say ultimately it is cultural.

Not a chance imo. You can see parallels in all the primate world.
