i don't get why people choose to roll jays without a crutch
(otherwise known as a "smoking tip")

just curl up a little bit of cardstock, put it at the lip end of your joint, and voila -- no need to fuck with quarters or hair clips or burn your fingers

plus, the smoke comes through it quite a bit more easily than if you've just got the open end of the paper between your fingers

OOPS, I grew up in the 70's/80's. You could do that instead. BUT, when you have no crutch/cardstock,etc and only a rolling paper and some change...........:wink:

I dont understand this. Why sully the weed with tobacco? I always thought of weed as the anti-tobacco. Is it to save weed?

I never use a "crutch" in a joint. In fact thats the first time ive ever heard it called that. I just leave a little space at the end of the joint and I can smoke it all the way down.

I like it w/o a crutch.  I just use a clip; to me it seems to burn more slowly :shrug:.  I almost never roll though, smoking is bad mmmmkay? Be wise, vaporize :vaped:

homie, start using a crutch.

you will INSTANTLY notice how awesome the joint hits, and that you never waste any weed, always smoke the joint to completion. ALWAYS massive rips.

i h8 joints that dont use a crutch. its common sense IMO

I have done both countless times, I just prefer no crutch.  I can smoke almost all of it w/ a clip and I am fortunate enough to have a medical grow so it's all cool if a few crumbs are wasted here and there

IMO if you use a crutch you get satisfying hits

if you don't use a crutch, the hits are puny and weak.

simply my OPINION on the matter.

if i don't use a crutch, then, honestly, IN MY OPINION, it is a gigantic waste of weed, and i'd rather it go in a bowl, or a bong.

you say sully, i say improve
it's just a matter of personal taste in drugs

specifically as relates to spliffs, the general consensus which i have heard and agree with is that the tobacco yields a more intense but shorter high
also, in my experience, a more "debilitating" high -- better for crashing on a couch and listening to music than for playing frisbee
