Joints r how the old skool guys do it. Its alot cleaner.. no bullshit left over. You got trouble you eat the shit. Whats up with this generation and using smoking devices?

Its different your sittin at ur house, and you break out ur 2 ft bong. Thats how you youngins get caught. I know you get alot less persecution then when I was a teenager but damn you shouldnt annouce your illegal activities by walking down the sidewalk getting blown out, obvouisly if your walking down a sidewalk your in a town or city with lots of people.

In orlando it's a bitch. The population is kinda mixed on  the subject. There are a lot of progressive people that are ok with it, but a lot of conservatives. The police are complete red necks and will act like there's a murder scene if they find .5 grams of weed on you.

3 cops showed up when some dude smelled weed in my car. Found .5 of a gram and a pipe and we were all promptly arrested. Shit was crazy serious.

That day I learned to only carry j's.

I live in southeast MI, only a few miles from the borders of Detroit, and the problem is that where I live to get weed you usually have to go to Detroit and into some of the worst ghettos in the US. Tons of paranoid people with guns, thieves, and cops all over the place looking for crack houses. The cops aren't that friendly, either. When you're a young white male driving in a Detroit neighborhood you stick out like sore thumb, and the hand of the law is unpredictable. You have a 50/50 chance of getting slapped on the wrist or getting huge fines, a long probation, or even jail time. There's just no way to tell.

You can get weed in town if you look around enough, which is safer, but you get ripped off a lot that way.

When I lived closer to Ann Arbor, it was a lot nicer. I didn't have to go to shady neighborhoods and good weed was plentiful and cheap.

SEATTLE.

Everyone tokes. You can smoke anywhere and the worst you'll get is a glare.

I've lived here for a few years and I don't know one person who doesn't smoke or at least doesn't care if you smoke at all.

Police have marijuana use as the lowest priority on their agenda and at festivals like Hempfest, Folklife and Bumbershoot, you can smoke right in front of them and they'll just smile at you.

I should be grateful. I feel for you all who can't do that so freely.

I live in a small town in Indiana. there are people that smoke weed, and there are people who don't smoke weed. It is a underground thing, and something not to admit to doing to freely. My state has some of the harshest marijuana laws in the united states, yet it still seems like everyone is doing it. We have drinkers around here, and i don't mean they drink a little. In a 3 block radios there are 9 bars, and every one of them is packed every weekend.

When you smoke weed in Indiana, you keep it WAY on the down low. Even just having a roach on you will send you to jail, your car impounded, your license suspended for 180 days, and the courts will force drug rehab on you. That is the first offense. I got caught with some at a party and i didn't even own a car at the time, but they took my license away as well as all the other shit regardless. BTW, drinking and driving isn't even that harsh. You can drive around town running into shit with your car and you might get into as much trouble as the guy with some weed on him. I got into WAY more trouble for getting caught with a 1/8th of weed on me than my sister in law did when she drove 3 times over the legal limit and destroyed city property.

It really makes you feel like a criminal. I worked with someone for 6 years before he told me he smoked pot. Even if you smoke with someone in the same circle as other people you know, you might not even know that other person smoked weed to until your in a situation where you do smoke with them. It's funny as hell sometimes. People are freaked the fuck out about getting caught and they have the right to feel that way. It's not right at all. There are ALOT of pot smokers in Indiana, but the governemnt acts like only horrible crimminals would dare even be seen at a party with th evil marijuana at it. Our governer refuses to even talkabout medical marijuana. He swears he will not allow the laws to change but get more strict.

Marijuana use is pretty free here also. (Alberta, canada)

I've been caught smoking in public by the police a few times, they just told me to put it out and be more careful.

It's still illegal, but the cops don't really care too much.

Even though the law is fucking ridiculous in florida, the good thing though is that we got a pretty good court system. So if you're in a car with some friends and they find weed, they have to prove it's yours. It's called constructive possession. It has to be under your dominion and control. So luckily there's that. Doesn't stop cops from being pricks.

But Florida's got a one up on the whole Union. Freshly picked shrooms are legal here.

marijuana is poorly accepted in my area. a lot of adults and older people are completely against it while a lot of the younger generation (teens-20s) all blaze

I also live in Northern Michigan just a couple hours south of phish_dude and marijuana is pretty popular. THere are tons and tons of people that smoke it. Just about everyone I know smokes weed. The problem is that it is a small town so you can never let the cops know or they will harass you till you move. The cops are strict on the law and they know everyone by name. As long as you keep it in your house or in the woods you'll be find. My main rule is NEVER and I mean NEver smoke in your car. It will save you a lot of trouble. The only time I smoke in my car are on long road trips where I can't find a spot to stop.

Im in NY (Queens) - ppl seem to do a lot of drugs on the go.
Frequently I will smell pot but not see anyone using. Or someone will sit next to me in the subway and reek of the bud.

Most of the time, when I used to smoke,I would do it indoors for fear of being arrested. I was frequently a victim of "random" bag searches (I have that face I guess) So I was terrified of being caught holding.

Ppl in the neighborhood view pot as a thing young ppl with no jobs do to pass the time. Also, low lives and thugs blaze up in front of barber shops and tattoo parlors and tinker with their cars as they blast reggaeton and whistle at skanks.

OoD

I also live in Denver, and laws are pretty lax here, I think you get a slap on a wrist for possession of less than an oz.  They're even more lax in Boulder, and the rest of the mountain communities are even more lax.  Colorado has a lot of hippies...a major reason why the Dead concert sold-out in less than a week & Phish are doing 4 shows here.  lol

Although the punishment is practically nothing, it still sucks dealing with the police (what a buzz-kill), so my friends and I are smart about it.
