hmmm actually i've only touched e about 7 times in my life.. does this music make me an e-tard? if so you probably arent in tune with the sounds of late

It's the music. I categorize RnB, Trance, Club, and whatever the hell the rest are called, as e-tard music.

And no, I'm not in tune with the club scene, simply because I don't listen to that stuff at all, and never have. I'm deeply into the psychedelic progressive/minimal scene though.

wow I thought I was gonna get in on this thread, but I dunno, its in a lot of directions now....

Yes, I'm a Raver.  I like rave culture. However I'm not a Candykid, or junglist, I like all music for what it is.  I'm also not a 16 year old kid.  Part of being a mature adult is just looking past those kids, they're just doing what they do, blindly sometimes for the sake of "being cool"  Soon they will move on to the next trend.  If you think that they've "destroyed raving/hiphop/punk/ fuck any popculture" then I think what really happened is you may have grown out of the culture.  Yes things change, change is inevitable.  I started raving 5 years ago, not that long ago really, and it was different then, I liked it then, but even then there were jaded people,  people that were upset because things had changed from the way it was in the 90's.  Things have changed even more now, but I'm still here, I'm here for the music really (I don't do drugs at raves).  I think you just learn to pick the parties you go to.  I'll go to parties that are a little smaller, where I know there may be a "vibe" (yes sometimes its still there), where there's usually a slightly older crowd (the kids that I partied with in the beggining that went into hiding during the commercial wave) or I'll go to an illegal party. Or sometimes I just leave the counrty and party someplace else.  I think that some ravers are really cute and generally like the culture, I think we have great clothes and I'm not talking fat pants and spongebob shirts, but in Toronto we have clothing lines geared towards ravers that make kick ass partying clothes and business attire as well (these guys know we have to be adults sometimes), it could be worse, we could not be ravers, and we could all look like avril lavgine.....

all the music i listed for the other member that was record shopping is drum n bass. its far from e-tard music. actually junglists are usually people 20-30 that have long grown out of rolls and PLUR BS. i'll check out the psychedelic stuff though that you listed.. peace
