For me and everyone I know who has quit it was due to one of two reasons..

1. They had some life changing event like a chid or a good job come along and they quit because they matured into a new person..

2. They quit because they never really were much of a smoker in the first place..

I believe that smoking pot is A OK... Their is nothing wrong with it at all. Something will happen in your life some day and without even knowing that youve quit youll realize that you havnt smoked in over a year...

Untill then, if you smoke to sleep and you really have true insomnia then go ahead and continue with what your doing.. Here in California you can get a prescription for pot because of insomnia.

Quitting will come naturaly some day..

the only reason i may want to quit is just for the sake of quitting. I can't think of anything marijuana itself really detracts from my lifestyle. But it is something I keep going back for.

I'm usually a daily toker. I use a one hitter mostly and have a few hits here n there throughout the day but do most my hits in the evening. Recently I ran out and haven't got any now for 2 weeks. I don't have any withdrawal symptoms when I take a "break" now n then. Last few days here Iv 'e felt high or in a daze. It's werid. Not sure if its from my anti acid medication since I'm usually always high and wouldn't knot ice the meds effects.

I know lots of ppl that just quit pot just for the sake of quitting. It has to be the easiest thing to quit if thats what you really want.

Quitting pot sux, it is hard for some of us, it could be because the people we are sorrounded or maybe our lifestyle.

I been a smoker for quit a time, i stopped cigarrettes for a time, planning on quitting again on those. Now i have stopped smoking pot sometimes, but it always come back. My main concerns of stopping is because health and money.

Now quitting something shouldnt be difficult if you want it, cause when i stopped smoking cigs i really wanted, and didnt touch a cig for 3 months. Now with pot should easier.

well...I officially quit a couple weeks ago...and I officially smoked pot again a couple days ago...;)

I'm never going to be able to quit. I don't really want to...but I do. lol

"quitting" seems like the wrong word to describe what you really want. Isn't it the "freedom" from having to smoke to sleep, or whatever, that is truely important?

Personally I used to smoke all the time with "Bob" the waterbong, of course. I loved being able to smoke tons of weed all day and still function. Now, I don't smoke much anymore because I usually get too fucking stoned and can't do shit but sit on my ass like a retard.

But the main point is that smoking weed is not bad, and doesn't need to be eliminated. In fact, smoking every once in a while lets you relax and put the things in your life into perspective. So don't try to quit, smoke if you have to. It takes time to get back the control and freedom you desire. Like growin shrooms, "all you need is just a little patience" (G'N'R)!

im quiting smoking bud too. today is day too, and i tell you what. IT SUCKS. ive been smoking ciggs out the ass too. ughhh. im only doin it to clear my head, and get my tolerance back down though.

i love to smoke pot. i've stopped smoking for periods as long as two years, but always start again. when i wasn't smoking weed i'd start smoking cigs and vice versa. i just need to smoke something...i think it's some kind of hand mouth oral fixation thing. i'd recommend looking for an all natural smoking blend with the lowest amount of tar/carcinogens. i know you don't want a new crutch, but this can help when you need that relaxing smoking feeling. i smoke a little salvia here and there, in small amounts it doesn't do much, but at least i'm not taking huge bong hits of tar or smoking all the synthetic crap in cigs.

imo, if you're really suffering from not smoking for just a couple days, then you definately need to cut down cuz you are heavily addicted and it's probably gonna take alot of enjoyment out of your life if you dont balance yourself.

That's a good idea...
I want to get my tolerance back down so I actually get high again, but I just end up replacing the bud with cigarettes.
Which sucks kuz I want to quit smoking, and when I can't smoke cigarettes I replace them with weed (thus why my tolerance is through the roof).

Nicotine withdrawl results in extremely problematic outbursts of manic and undirected anger in me. Anyone got any suggestions to help me get g-dubya... I mean this monkey off my back?!
