Learning to Learn More
    #1232293 -

Do you guys ever notice how the more you learn, the more you learn how to learn more. And the deeper you go within your mind, the bigger and more chaotic it gets. I really think this is neat, and it makes life so much more interesting.

Actually what is very fascinating is on my most intense psychedelic trips, it can reach a point where it is so simple and complex at the same time. Words don't do much to describe the experience.

with some people, the more they learn, the more they refuse to learn anything more. they think they are so right, that they dont have to devote time to learning. My parents knew i was one of those "learning" kids (always reading, always on the computer, mad crazy shit), so they taught me early to remember that i dont know everything. but i know a lot of people, generally teachers, who have learned so much, and stopped, because they thought they knew everything. how sad :-(

learning is fun tho.... i think thats why i was a loser for like, 8 years, lol.

Every answer only births more questions - its frustrating

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

I have the feeling that the more I learn, the less I know...
weird, isn'it?

Probably it's a kind of a process. Maybe one day I'll stop learning because I won't need it anymore. Then I'll start enjoying existence the way it is without trying to understand it.

There's a band Pennywise from here in my hometown and they have a song with a line that goes like:

"The more that you know... the less that you know"

The more I think about that line, the more it makes sense.

Learning things is a real mofo, kuz no information out there will ever be 100% true.  The right answer will change over time, or with new information.

The biggest thing I have run into is questioning things that I already think I know.  If you think REAL hard about the things that you have taken for granted as being true your entire life, you will find that SOMEWHERE along the line, you used information that was based on a poor assumption, thus discrediting what you believe to be true.  Knowing that it's wrong doesn't always change the feeling that you "KNOW it's right"....

I know exactly what you mean.

What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?

I have this theory that you can only learn so much that your environment allows. I just pulled it out of my ass actually but it seems to make some sort of sense to me...

I mean, your mind keeps wanting to learn and learn and learn. You want to know how things work, and why they work that way.
But your body is like... "Ahhh! You're thinking too much, we have to go entertain ourself now!"

I think the mind has the power to condition the body to anything pretty much, so long as your still getting nutrients.

But your body has learned (or rather has been told) of the reality of the environment you live in, so you have to experience all of they physical sensations out there. I see emotions as more of a sensation rather than a thought process. I think?

why the fuck am I up this early....
oh yea, cuz my fucking mind won't let my body go back to sleep!

The more you learn, the more you learn how much there is to learn, and how little you really know.

is that relativity?
