Crazy Monolith-Building Guy in South America

I saw this thing on the Discovery Channel or something about this guy who's wife died or left him or something... so he went a little crazy and went to south america and over many years built this huge palacial thing out of giant stones and stuff. He said that he had done the whole job by himself, using only manpower... witnesses supported this claim. some engineers went in and were amazed at how difficult and precise everything was, some of it being more precise than most modern engineering techniques can produce... when the man died he took to his grave the secrets of how he built the thing, and it remains a mystery to this day. when asked, all he ever said was "i understand how the pyrimids and stonehenge were built" or something like that... anyone else hear of this place? what is it called?

There's a place in Florida called the Coral castle, I believe. Pretty similiar sounding, a guy made a castle and various monuments by himself. One of the things he made was a pole with a huge stone that weighs a few tons balanced on top. After he died the stone eventually fell off so the owners of the castle which is now a tourist atraction set it back up. It took them a crew, a huge crane, and a few days, so this guy definetly had a good understanding of how to move around super heavy rocks. He also went to the grave leaving behind only a few rambling essays on magnetism. Oh well.

On that link you supplied, mushmaster ( http://www.labyrinthina.com/coral.htm ), when I scrolled down the page with my mousewheel, that little graphic on the left side appears to scroll UP - just a random observation that I thought was interesting.
