Using drugs to hide as distraction.

Do you think this is any worse than other forms of distraction as long as one doesn't use too frequently as to get addicted and doses reasonably? Why?

Actually it's probably my favourite form of distraction, except books which are on the level.

I the only negative I can think of is really good drugs can makes the other distractions seem a little bleak in comparsion.

Well that's the danger with the addictive drugs. That's why they're addictive. :lol:

I find that a certain discipline is needed and what helps is to learn rotation. Have several addictions that you rotate through so you don't have all the negatives of over use and also are always looking forward to something. It can be done. :thumbup:

Well drugs have health risks. If you distracted your self with running or weight lifting or basetball you would probably be healthier.

drugs directly alter your body's chemistry which makes them different to say, watching TV. Drugs may induce the watching of TV. Watching TV often brings idleness. Drugs can also do this.
The thing about drugs is that they affect the way that you experience other things. So drugs don't really replace other forms of distraction, but enhance competing distractions
