Yeah man, I'm going to pour some today or tomorrow. got my dishes and that. Just got some IRL stuff to take care of.
It would be MEDA
I got some agar agar at the asian store for like a quid something for 25 grams.
Put the agar in the blender to make it it smaller. The biggest pieces are about the length of a grain of rice.
Going to use 3% beer kit stuff and 2% agar W/V to water.
So say I made 500ml(enough for 25 dishes), of agar mix, I'd use 15g beer kit and 10g agar. It cost me about 7.5p for the BK, and 50p for the agar.
All in all 60 pence to pour 25 dishes. Now to find out if the mix does well. I dont see why it wouldn't.
Will report back once I have some more findings.

Great, that will be a nice simple recipe if it works - if it doesn't.. just have to make beer instead... shame...

The beer kit worked great for LC. was Just a bit dark from caramelizing, but who gives a fuck. Did you see that big up a few posts? I could hardly get some up into a 18g syringe.
I just pc'ed some more lc jars today. Did half beer kit and half dex-c at 3% total W/V.

This ebay seller sells good-quality agar at reasonable prices. I've had bad experiences buying the stuff from Whole Foods, for example; it's expensive and doesn't PC very well. I've bought from this fellow a couple of times and been very pleased:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/thealchemistsapothecary
He has listings for different quantities down to 25g. Here's one for 200g: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/200g-Agar-Agar-Powder-Vegan-Seaweed-/300447212757?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Home_Garden_Food_SM&hash=item45f40ca4d5

This might be useful, I bought all my environmental controls (for gourmet), thermometers etc. from these guys: http://www.forttex.com They also have aquarium heaters and air pumps. Nothing fancy but the products are very good and so are the prices.

I reuse mine & haven't had any problems. As long as you soak them in alcohol it should be fine, they're not really intended just for single use.

I get them from small independent chemists. Have to ask at the pharmacist's counter generally. Medical grade latex or vinyl examination gloves come in boxes of 100 for £6-£7.
