I havent been using a mask for a while now but though maybe it cant hurt?

should I bother with the 3ply? is 2 ply good enough?

Should I even waste my money?

these are super cool lighters for flame sterilizing your syringes, knives etc, i picked mine up for £2.50 at my local head shop, they all got 'em.

You need one of these. Refillabe and ajustable flame, see that needle glow in seconds!!! Cheap and best! Never going back now

Torch lighters are the only way to go.

Just noticed at http://www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/acatalog/Dried_Malt_Extract.html the LME link from first post now has 500g. I think they used to only have 1kg bags and they cost about 13 quid after shipping. Now they have the 500g for 6.10 after shipping

Bought 300 dishes from our man with the Petri's (see about 2 pages back for his email) and he also did me a great deal on a bunch of these jars:

The one on the right is sterile and the one on the left is autoclavable (though untested as yet) thought they would be great for culture storage - both about 20ml.
His ebay user name is "cheaplabstuff" - think he just changed it

Hmmm last time i checked(must be about a month now) he ddindt have anything suitable for slants.

I got 20 of these for slants.

What were the prices on those? the sterile ones I think i recognise. The bottom should be pp5 but the top isnt.

Is the middle one glass and pp5 lids?

No id on the plastic lids, but the sterile ones are one time use, price was about the same as you paid. Looks like he has almost run out of stuff at the moment!

I asked the guy loads of questions about it and all he can tell me is that its from his shed, has a weight but is missing a button.

You don't say.  Very interesting.  You use the liquid light malt for your LCs?

Cheapest[price per unit(100g)] coffee I could find is this.

Went into poundland today. Got a 150g bag for a quid. Just a bit cheaper than the sainsburys.

It can be done, I've seen a few threads on it eg this one but I don't know what compost is best suited to it.
