He has listings for different quantities down to 25g. Here's one for 200g: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/200g-Agar-Agar-Powder-Vegan-Seaweed-/300447212757?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Home_Garden_Food_SM&hash=item45f40ca4d5
Bit cheaper from this guy. High shipping, but hes just trying not to pay paypal tax.

I found good jars from TJ Hughes if you have one in your city.
They're not really jars but they work the same. Basically 30cl tumblers, think I got six for 5 quid at TJ's.
Only downside is no lids. A roll of foil is 50p though.

Cole-parmer is telling me 27 quid for a 4" roll of para film. Anybody want to go in on it with me. Halfs would be cool, thirds or 4ths even better.
I'd setle with buying some off someone too.
The peice i bought on ebay was old I belive and prone to splitting.

I'd go halves but how do you divide a roll of parafilm? Is it like sellotape on a roll or does it have its own backer?
Cole Palmer is showing as £14 + Vat for parafilm here do they have a minimum order or stupid delivery costs - sure its hidden somewhere!
Edit ..found it "up to 25kg (!!)" £9+Vat delivery so 30 boxes of parafilm are the same price to deliver!

im not sure if this has been mentioned as i cant be arsed to read this whole thread.
http://www.strawlogs.co.uk/
i personally hate cutting straw up ive yet to find a way to do it quick enough for my liking and straw is quite bulky which can be difficult to store if you live in a small flat.
which is why ive been on the look out for an alternative.
compressed straw pellet fuel. used for heating biomass boilers etc. but also makes for a quick to use, super fine, bulk substrate. that needs 0 chopping up, is delivered to your uk doorstep. the next day in my case
its made from three types of straw so i needed to test it out but all tests came back positive. ive made trays, nuggets, logs. the substrate is made from wheat, rape, and pea straw but my chillies seem to love the stuff.
also ive had success with not pasteurizing this stuff but id like to do more tests before i endorse that.
hope this helps.

He anyone interested in some filter disks the size of a 10p?
Hamloaf says he can get them 5 for 1 dollar. he said that the seller wont ship to the uk, but we can have them shipped to him and, and he would forward them on to us for the cost of postage.
If sporeworks can send us two syringes for 5 dollars then I'm sure we can get a sweet box full of filter disks shipped for the same price.
Anyone else want some?

Saw some big ass jars yesterday in the co-op. Sarsons pickling vinegar. They're about the same diameter as a dolmio jar but extra tall, I think it was about 1.2lt. They were on offer 2 for £2. I'm going to check that it's not too tall for my hi-top PC. I recon you could get 3 or 4 in at a time if the height is ok.

This is where I've gotten mine: http://www.annforfungi.co.uk/shop/equipment/10-spawn-bags/prod_41.html
10 for 6.38, but I think it worked out to £8 with shipping.

I'm in on some parafilm and I think solarity is too. I dont have money till saturday though.
ann is where I got my bags from. She has #14 bags and 3T bags. Her prices are like this.
Quote:
10 bags £5.63 + £1.12 vat + 75p post = £7.50, 75p each 50 bags £25.50 + £4.46 vat + £2.64 post = £32.60, 65.2p each 100 bags £45 + £9.00 vat + £4.14 post = £58.14, 58.2p each

What are these jars? Do you have a Prestige 6 liter high dome? I do and would like to know if they fit.

These are the jars http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda-compare-prices/Oils_And_Vinegar/Sarsons_Distilled_Vinegar_for_Pickling_114L.html?ShowSwitchSMBar=3 I also have a Prestige 6 and am pretty sure they will fit. I'll measure them up tomorrow and make sure. It will be great if they do could save me quite a bit of time.
