How do tell if a monotub is contaminated? NO Trich? NO pins?

doesn't make sense. I'm at a loss. I assume it's contaminated with something. What could contaminate a monotub but show NO signs other than 0 pins?

I know usually it's been trich or something else that's very detectable. Sometimes - it shows 0 signs and I wonder why is that?

If you're positive it shows no signs of contamination, maybe it's something else.  excessive moisture, too dry, etc..

more info is needed, and a pic would help.

did you spawn grains to used toilet paper??????


how old is the bulk spawn?  one day, one year???

so much info is missing..:confused:

You really didn't give us much information to work with.  I'm assuming you have other threads giving this information, but you're assuming I've already ready them!  :lol: :wink:

Describe your setup and growing parameters.  What did you use for bulk?  How did you prepare it?

I see no signs of contamination. Yet, I am certain there is. What kind of contamination could this be? My parameters for everything else - humidity, light, FAE, are all good.

Sounds like your tub went dormant due your personal Heebie-Jeebies.  throw it out and start over, or wait it out until  you can identify the problem.




I'm starting to think I've posted in a troll thread, but it's all good.

have you looked at his threads concerning this similar issue? before this 3 out of 4 of his trays contaminated.  does this make it 4 out of 4?  also, when people ask a question he already knows the answer.... just sayin...

Lol, i'm not using the pool of water as humidity. The perlite is not going to make the difference. Humidity is not the concern.

I posted a similar position on trying to get it to pin - i realize now, it's not going to happen. I'm wondering if there is a bacterial infection that would cause it not to fruit and also be fully colonized? maybe hidden mold? The only time I seen an infection is on substrate not colonized.

At this point, like you said, I'm just waiting it out and seeing if it goes full out trich or something - but I seriously doubt the latter (since 3 of the 4 did go bad and showed signs - why would the 4th be different??).

Even in my trich infected tubs I got a few pins....
