gun owners?

i was wondering how many shroomerites choose to bear arms? i have just recently gotten into shooting and just have a really old bolt action shotgun for skeet, but as soon as i can afford it ill have lots more :cool:

were not allowed guns for self defense in uk, but we can still buy a mean looking mossberg 590 as long as we say its for hunting or trap shooting when it clearly wasnt made for trap. i dont have it yet but i will eventually http://www.saddleryandgunroom.co.uk/gunroom/sg_shotguns_mossberg.php

I've had shotguns, but now I just have a glock.  9mm - cheap ammo, good times.

i sure can go for owning a gun where I live. Too many people I would be tempted to shoot though.

I live next to an alley where there is always fresh broken glass on the floor. I stopped driving because I have gotten a car stolen as well as broken into a month after I retrieved it. I also had 2 other cars that were broken into several times, and got stereos/cd's stolen. This neighborhood blows.

Every night sounds like 4th of july.

A sniper rifle would suffice

I'm working on it, I'm having trouble finding the guns I want for a good price. I'm looking to start a collection of war guns.

I'm looking for a thompson submachine gun and a BAR. Waiting on a friend to finish fixing up an old AK-47 that was used in a war, only paying him 75 for it if all goes as planned.

I used to have quite the collection, but some legal issues came up and I needed money fast :sad:

I still have the maverick 88 12ga with the 18.5in barrel that my dad gave me when I was 16.

Well yeah, but that's not why I want those guns, I want those guns because of their history back in gangster times. If I were trying to collect guns from COD I'd start with the M1 Garand, the Karabiner 98k and Mosin Nagant.

I wouldn't know what to do with all those rifles.

I used to know a guy that had a whole house full of guns, just about anything you could think of as far as assault weapons go, he had, even an RPG or three, how he got them all I'll never know. He was an old war vet, I sold pot to him a few times and never did see him again. At the time I wasn't interested in guns, but if I knew him now I'd probably be over there trying to buy them all from him.

suwanee police used to make jokes about hiding at my friends house if
there was ever a civil insurrection, he had virtually any rifle you could
imagine from some old flintlocks to shit I never though I'd see in person,
he was a viet nam vet too, in a wheel chair and still an avid hunter

his house was built like a bunker, outer walls were 12" concrete, the room
the guns were in was too but had a vault door, I kept trying to get him to
replace his front door with the vault, he though it was overkill

I just had an amazing convo with a Yemeni man a few days ago. He was a sniper in their army ( forced )
his uncle is a major general in the army.
His dad shot him in the elbow for mouthing off and not joining the service (completely acceptable there.)
One day after he healed as best he would (still pretty fucked up in that arm) he blacked out after dinner one day and woke up in a training facility in Iraq. They drugged and abducted him into the army.

He was conscripted for two years, in which time he became a sniper, his fav was the 50 cal. He claims at 400 meters he can have you hold out a cigarette and you can tell him how many centimeters you want him to shoot off the end of it.

He finished his service in 2 years, went back home and put 9mm rounds in each of his dads knees then fled to America. He is speaking with him over the phone again, and they are done being mad at each other, they just never plan to see each other again. His dad even picked up one of his friends from the airport upon his request...
Strange people there...

yeah, USP tactical for conceal, .357 python for home defense, and ak-47 with green beam and tactical scope for Armageddon. Oh and a demilled hand grenade on key chain.

2nd Amendment FTW. I grew up around guns. My father is the president of a gun club that is located less than 2miles from the home I grew up in. I was traveling around the state trapshooting at ATA events when I was 12 years old. My collection consists of 23 guns, mostly shotguns and rifles, plus a few pistols. My father has over 200 guns  :lol:.  The last time I was over there, they were starting to pile up in a corner of his bedroom because he's run out of space in his safes.  I don't get to shoot as much as I use to...I really miss those days.  But, then again, ammo was much cheaper 10 years ago too. I just bought a box of 50 JHP .380....$48.00!! WTF.  Guns are fun, if used responsibly. Like rodfarva said, if you're going to buy a gun just to be some wannabe "gangsta"...please don't.  BTW, skeet with a bolt action? Thats gotta be challenging.
