Its definitely not excusable in my books. You NEVER need to steal. The only reason you would ever have to steal is because you are starving. If your hungry go to a soup kitchen or ask stores for the food they are going to throw out or go around back. Its usually very fresh if you go on the right days.

fuck, if society would let me build a house and have a small farm, i wouldn't steal. infact. i don't even steal.
but if i was starving i would, i don't care what people moral standards are. i need to survive i need to survive.
besides, technically. if you're homeless and starving.
people will find you socially unacceptable, doesn't make a difference if you steal or not.
of course someone here is gonna pull out "stealing raises prices" or "stealing is selfish"
well yes, other people will have to pay for other peoples stealing but like i said, if i was starving i wouldn't give a shit
also, not every place is like North America.
some people don't have food banks or places for help like 3rd world country's for example.
EVEN some places in North America don't have food banks and if they're are they are too far away.
are you going to look down on them for it?

Stealing is never really acceptable. I can understand some peoples reasoning though, the homeless especially.
I feel sorry for the homeless who didn't get homeless because of their habit; like losing your house, or something. or getting it taken away because you grew a couple plants of pot.
But stealing should only be the very last last last resort. I mean, people survived in the past without having to steal and having no home.
Find a plant identification guide and find the edibles, hunt. It's possible to survive without resorting to stealing/begging.
Totally offtopic rant there. Sorry.
I absolutely hate people who steal for the thrill. There thrill costs us more money. But the people who lost it all, and it's there only means of survival i wont frown upon that.

It is possible that they will figure out who you are,though I doubt it.  As for the morality of stealing :shrug:  Its been a crime throughout human history so clearly its a popular pastime of humans.  You knew the consequences yet chose to do it anyways, which is a perfectly acceptable application of the law code to me.

If someone is stealing from corporation i think its lame rather than immoral. Just a stupid risk to take for small gain. Unless the person was really hungry or had some other reasonable motivation. Stealing from a regular person on the other hand is bad.
