potency of mycelia?

ive read up on the honey tek (growing mycelia in honey water jars) and heard you can strain the honey water from the mycelia and eat as a little treat. But i was wondering, what if any potency does the mycelia have compared to shrooms themselves. Apologies if this question has been answered but i couldnt find any.

The thought of eating mycelium doesn't appeal to me... BUT, I say gather up all the mycelium you can and eat it all... then let us know! I've once heard that 1/4 piece of mycelium off of a 1/2 pint pf cake is a proper dose... personally, I would put in that extra effort to make mushrooms.. no sense in waisting mycelium :smile:

I've heard of after a cake has exhausted, than you can make a tea out of it, and drink the water, but it sounds pretty nasty to me. Another thing you could do is throw it outside and cover it with a thin layer of dirt or sumthin, and you could possiably see lil mushrooms pop up. And they say it's not a good idea to eat the cake straight, unless you really enjoy the throne! :crazy:
