So I've reached enlightenment
    #9890097 -

It's certainly not what I expected, but... I cannot complain. It took me a while to understand this for myself, but now everything goes my way. It's all a matter of perspective.

Now, my question is though. I am one with everything, and everyone is one with me. However, I still feel it is possible that I can impart this knowledge to others, yet they already have it, they just don't realize it. So, what happens when 2 people reach enlightenment and are in the same room. Will they know it? Will they... hmm... appear different than anyone else?

And what were you expecting?

I forgot, that's how I got here.

Now. Someone has an answer. I know I do, but I can't seem to think of it yet. Someone else must help me oooout. Right?

Write it down

Why would you doubt me? I've never lied in my life. I mean, I once thought I had, but now I realize I've only misspoken. I'm just trying to get somewhere here, but I'm not quite sure where yet.

I uh... how do I say this.

I now realize that I don't have all the answers, but we all do. It just takes time, and the right questions, for them to come out.

Funny you say that though, life does now appear alot like a game. I think I'm actually going to play a game while I wait for more responses. Thank you for the idea, and please keep them coming. What I'm looking for has to be out there.

There's a difference between lying and not knowing what you're talking about.

Of course there is, but not anymore.

I now know that one of 2 things will happen if I 'lie.' I misunderstood, or you misunderstood. Am I right?

Ok, here is one question I know you guys can give me a strait answer to.

When I meditate, now, after reaching enlightenment, it seems to slow down time for... awhile. Like, after I'm done I mean. The world just speeds up, I speed up with it, my consciousness expands immensely. It's... weird. How do I use this to my advantage? I haven't quite figured that one out yet. I know there's a lot of meditators in here, those with much more practice than I.

BTW, I don't mean... life meditation, but sitting meditation. Now, I 'meditate' in every action I do, but... well, you guys know what I mean. Any advice for that one? I'm almost, at times, worried to do it, it can become too much yunno.

No you're not. Lying is deliberately deviating from the truth thus there is no "misunderstanding" which implies that you told the truth but it just got lost in translation somehow.

unfinished business [Re: learningtofly]
    #9890931 -

i hope you get over it and just practice with awareness.
slowing of time is an ordinary part of absorption (jhana, from meditation).
your path is beginning (good to begin), it will go in unique directions.
enlightenment is a non-issue to this.

A friend of mine was enlightened once.

Came back of a Salvia trip saying "I saw the truth!!".
Too bad she had forgotten about it. :frown:

Last night I was honored with the Nobel Prize in theoretical physics. This worldwide recognition has given me the opportunity to bring hope to a war-ravaged world. I vowed to myself I would work like a dog at this. But now, it's 10:30 in the morning and I'm just getting out of bed. I did get up earlier around 8:00am, but I just lied in bed for a while, and then...jerked off. I've got to stop masturbating, it makes me too lazy. Stop it Albert...stop it.

I get the same experience from yopo snuff, time dilation with a shinigami on my TV and then my driveway.
I don't read into to it too much, it was two years ago and so far i'm still alive.

Am I still one with you with my unenlightened experience?
Does it makes me oblivious to any connection, thus there is only connection from you to me, but not the other way, or is there no connection what so ever?

Try getting into an even deeper state maybe, slow it down more and you'll have more time to practice and ponder everything to find the answers you need

I think worry is natural, its new territory.
Last time I 'messed' with trance-like meditation, I was around 17 (23 now), I was fine for a few minutes, got into a deep state, and somehow my conscious/sub-conscious (wouldn't have a clue which) got the fear and pulled me out. It was like an instinctual reversal, a spidey-sense of danger, a sense that i was somewhere that i was unwelcome, unprepared for.

Now if i meditate (very very rarely - maybe 2 times in the last year) i tend to keep it to analysing my own thoughts and ideas.

However, i'm still highly skeptical that its all BS and mind tricks.
I think this may get better responses at M&P

I'm not really sure what enlightenment is. If it's the description of a true master, from the Dhammapada, I know I'm defiantly not enlightened.

If it is a full set of open chakras, I was able to get there for several hours. I was somehow able to bypass my karma/blockage, and ended up with an open crown. I mean, fully open, flooding over my body, erasing all tension. All discreet emotion disappeared, all chakras disappeared. I was "one". I went to bed, and woke up unenlightened.

I figured I could do it again, but to no avail.

My heart is open, been that way for about 4 months now. And that's pretty nice since it was my original goal from 5 years ago when I started. But an open heart isn't all I thought it would be. I've got a lump in my throat, and the buck stops there. Love, tears and anger.

Perhaps one day I will be enlightened.

why there is reality and patterned, law-like consistency at all, rather than noise or non-reality is not a question physics answers. It's a question physics presupposes an answer to in order to provide other answers.
