You have to download Janis Joplin's "Summertime". Killer song, great for any trip. The way the tempo/mood changes...i always end up playing it real loud

"Grey" by Alexander "Skip" Spence, off the album "Oar." weird, spooky, very trippy, from a guy who unfortunately went over the edge shortly after recording the album.

Anything Ween CDs, particularly Pure Guava or Chocolate and Cheese, they are also classics. I hear The Dead Milkmen is a good band too.

...The last one I said was "fucked up" in a bad trip sort of way which seemed to be what you are going for with the choices you mentioned. I also have some "good fucked up" stuff, like most of FSOLs Lifeform's CD. Try "Vit". Or the Aeon Flux soundtracks- that's pretty weird...

Hey GRTRUD, I'm only a young 'un but I love that retro shit. :) The Doors, Santana, Quicksilver and Peter Gabriel are awesome, but nobody comes close to Traffic. :)
Peace, love & pointy things, Fina

Yeah I saw Traffic with the Dead at RFK Stadium a year sober and when Traffic and The Dead played together, I was getting off on a natural trip. There were all these ballons floating around the whole time the show was going on and they were getting batted around, you know the usual stuff, all over the stadium but then, as the bands started to melt together in one of the tunes they were playing (I'm embarrassed to say I've forgotten now) but all of a sudden the ballons just started collecting together and they swarmed and came towards the stage in a kind of frenzy, in time with the music! It was fucking great! I was really scared that sober I wouldn't connect anymore with what was going on there, and if that happened I don't know what I would have done cause it was (still is) a large part of ME. What a great experience. Thanks for your reply.

Sheesh, way too much to read ;-) tokend?sen: the cds from barrett weere made to trip to and all, but they basicly suck :-( Find some songs from Talvin Singh. Its like a weird, tripped out, dance/african type thing. Check it out, you won't be disapointed lol. Look for 'Sutrix', 'Eclipse', and 'Traveller'. Those are some of my favorites... ;-) I think everyone should go check these songs out actually :-P There just whacked out!
