I know this has been done a thousand times on a thousand forums but what the fuck! My favorite 10 songs to listen to while tripping are (in no particular order):
- Within You, Without You - the Beatles
- Brain Damage - Pink Floyd
- White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane
- Castles Made of Sand/Purple Haze - Hendrix
- Alone Again Or - Love
- Pictures of Matchstick Men - Status Quo
- Dazed and Confused - Led Zep
- Tales of Brave Ulysses - Cream
- Santana - Toussaint L'Overture
- the End - the Doors (only for experienced trippers)
What do y'all think? I could have listed a hundred more but this is supposed to be a top ten.

Actually the cd collection "Spirit of the '60s" is probably the best collection for tripping.

Ok everyone always talks about Aphex Twin. I even went to my local music store to buy some but they had none. What is it like?

If your interested in Aphex twin I suggest that you download some mp3's off kazaa or limewire. Personaly I like thier Selected ambient works volume 1 and 2. Especially 2. Much of there newer stuff is a hyperactive mindfuck. Speedy and abstact also a bit disturbing. However the ambient works are much different. They are more like dreamy soundscapes. So Aphex is a mixed bag for me some of his work is brillant and some some sounds like just noise. Try a varienty before you decide if you like it or not.

Good call on the Tranceport album..... Such emotion and and happy-reflective-calming-euphoric vibes.

Every song by Squarepusher is good, but here are the top ten from Squarepusher.
1.Tundra 2.Untitled (wap 115) 3.Beep Street 4.The Exploding Psyschology 5.My Red Hot Car 6.Bonville Occident 7.Ez Boogie 8.Rat P's and Q's 9.A Journey to Reedham 10.Smedley's Melody
I strongly advise everyone to download at least one of these songs and listen to it tripping because this guy is absoluty insane in the art of Mind-Fuck.

Peaking : Heavy techno... love to blast Shiva Sidapu, Infected Mushroom, GMS, etc. Am pretty new to techno..so would also invite some suggestions on the heavier and darker side..
Plateau : Floyd, floyd, floyd, Cradle of Filth, Anathema, Maiden, and sometimes Doors.

-Marilyn Manson: Sweet Dreams -Tool: No Quarter -Tool: Third Eye -Cherry Poppin Daddies: Dr. Bones -Pink Floyd: Have a Cigar -Alice in Chains: Brush Away -Primus: American Dream -Oysterhead: Mr. Oysterhead -Jimi Hendrix: Who Knows? -Led Zeppelin: Stairway to Heaven (greatest song ever written)
Pretty much anything by Zep, Floyd, Tool, AIC, Primus is kick ass. Manson's older stuff (pre-Mechanical Animal Shit) rocks with any drug.

i think that music is so complex that its hard to list songs so i think the top ten artist to listen to are...
~Led Zepplin ~The Doors ~Grateful Dead ~Pink Floyd ~Sublime ~pretty much any of the 60's type music ~Jerry Garcia and David Grisman (greatful dog) ~Bob Marley ~Bob Dylan ~Lynyrd Skynyrd
Some of these bands arent really trippy or anything but if you get emotion from certain songs or artist while your still in reality then chances are they are going to be amazing while your under mushrooms influence....
