IMO this guy would go to Heaven for the same reason that little children too young to understand that they have committed sin and need a savior to cleanse them of it go to Heaven.

I also have a difficult time not becoming angry when i hear the "accept jesus or burn in hell" angle. It seems so Medieval!!! Scare tactic 100%

A god that would punish eternally with no chance for redemption is NOT the all loving God that the Hebrews believe in. In fact, he would be a legalistic, sadistic, conniving bastard.

That view of hell is from the 17th century book Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.

It's an interpretation that scared people into believing and in turn caused others to use scare tactics for others to believe because they were so insecure about their own beliefs that they needed to push it on people to validate their own selfish motives behind it.

I'm willing to bet the author got or will get his lashes for that if Jesus is truly who he says he was.

God's word(the Bible) has been twisted around throughout the centuries.

And no one just decided to put the Bible together one day, it started with ancient manuscripts handed down for millenniums. The old testament was the originals passed down in Aramaic and translated in to Hebrew over time, and the new testament was mostly letters to churches(bodies of believers) shortly after Jesus' death and supposed resurrection. And it was mostly in Greek(hence polytheism was much later than Hebrew culture.)

It wasn't until the invention of the print press that it was made into a conveniently enclosed and easily discernible book with the letters and ancient stories as chapters.

It amazes me how unfounded half of the people around here have such unfounded hatred toward Christianity when I bet none of them even knew those simple facts.

Yeah, And I'm the one who doesn't understand...
