Les Claypool
2008-12-31
War Memorial Opera House - San Francisco, CA

Source: Beyerdynamic MC930 > Edirol R4 (Busman W-mod) @ 24/48
Transfer: Edirol R4 > Sound Studio Pro (tracking, fades, edits, 16/44.1 conversion) > Flac (level 8)
Location: ZZ 104 wheelchair space @ ~7' height
Runtime: 1:43:50

Taped & Transfered by: Todd Fleisher

Disc 1
01. Highball With The Devil
02. Rumble Of The Diesel
03. Thela Hun Ginjeet
04. Precipitation @
05. Russian Dance #
06. Balloons Popping
07. Hendershot
08. Drum Solo > Whamola Jam
09. Of Whales & Woe

Disc 2
01. Cosmic Highway %
02. D's Diner
03. Crowd
Encore:
04. Iowan Gal
05. Electric Funeral ^

Notes:
@ - w/ MIRV .50 cal
# - Tom Waits cover & NYE countdown
% - w/ Gabby La La joining on Theremin
^ - Black Sabbath cover

During crowd noise before the encore, mic pads were engaged & gain levels were increased. Minor edits were done to remove noises coming from the switch. Also, portions of Iowan Gal were amplified in post to account for lower levels.

Thanks to Les for allowing taping. Special thanks to Eric, the house manager for handling the odd recording situation resulting from ZPZ not allow taping. This was the first live concert they'd ever hosted. They safely stored gear in the coat check room until ZPZ finished their set.
