I recently got to partake in a san pedros experience. I wrote this after coming down....any thoughts?

Listen To The Air

Listen To The Air

I

Forget the forgetful
And lay your head in symphony!
Dance to the midnight star
Flaring wildly in the heavens above.
Say a prayer for the endless night,
And in solitude, vowel to protect
The venomous snake.

What wrath to come
With words not said
So entails endless wind;
The cactus speaks, listen.

II

Walk a mile in the sun,
And a new path will emerge.
Follow the wolfs trail
In moonlight flooded emptiness,
Or battle with the toad
And call upon the eagle
To carry you aloft!

What wrath to come
My blood is shed
So entails endless wind;
The cactus demands, obey!

III

In amazement stare!
How stead the hare!
Who travels amongst the trail!
Where colors emerge
And patterns divulge!
Time stands frozen, so frail!

The sullen desert springs to life!
As you die, as you die, as you die!
The sullen desert springs to life!
As you cry as you cry as you cry!
The sullen desert springs to life!
As you beg, as you beg, as you beg!
The sullen desert dies tonight!
No wisdom gained, out of sight.

What wrath has come
The ego has died
And halts the endless wind;
The cactus spoke,
But I was too afraid
To Listen.

IV

So trapped behind eyes
Life hangs in an instant
To vanish in an instant
Like the fading sunset
So far so distant.
We've come so far
And traveled so wide,
It's hard to believe
Tonight, we're out of time.
Listen To The Air.
