A nightvision camera left on to catch a suspected peeping tom is how the footage was captured, noone was holding the camera.

The camera is a night vision camera that has been mentioned before, nightvision civilian cameras do not produce high quality video unless you dish out big money for the latest gen.

Theres another problem with the story though,

He's showing it to the media and not the public because its going in a documentary. That shows clearly that the motivation is media attention not disclosure. If it is real then thats bad practice. I'm more likely to believe something if theres no money/fame motivation behind it.

Don't get me wrong, I know ETs are real. I have first hand experience but I'm still skeptical. I hate hoaxes/hoaxers as they discredit the real phenomena.

Thats true.

I agree with people believing what ever they like but I also agree with healthy skepticism.  After all theres plenty of cases of alien abduction that have no reasonable explanation apart from that the people really were abducted.

These are the sorts of cases that prove things.

On the other extreme end you have cases like the Fox sisters spirit rapping's.  Even after they admitted it was a hoax, people still believed it.  :frown:  Now people refer to these sorts of hoaxes as a way of discrediting all paranormal phenomena.

Its a big mess really!

Thats exactly why I believe most hoaxes are government sponsored, either to cover up classified aircraft or (if they exist and have traveled to earth) extra-terrestrial UFO's.

I've never even seen a UFO, and I have no idea whether they exist, but they are intriguing as I'm finding out now.

Ego Death: the Romanek video will be released with the documentary, and afterwards will be on youtube I'm sure and I don't know when the release date is for the documentary.

the problem with any viideo or photographic proof is that there is always going to be a group of people who believe it to be faked. The real challenge with coming up with proof is having the said proof not be able to be reproduced or recreated. And with all the grainy, low quality, or obscure visual evidence almost anybody can cry fake. Also to go along with that, no one knows what an alien really looks like, they could have the appearance of an animated creature in real life, so if they look fake in real life then how is any body supposed believe video footage.
