Re: a note to Christians and Catholics. other spiritual or philosphical people [Re: fivepointer]

I think you like offending those who seem to live a life of freedom. I also think slavery suits your needs. I also think it fits in with your self importance and fear to think you are one of the special gods chosen few and you would do anything to maintain this belief. I think that is because of really low self image and lots of repression and pain.

Best guess from your posts.

So I have low self image with high self importance with repression and pain. You have a very powerful imagination.

I don't need to maintain the belief, I KNOW what it is and am CERTAIN about it. It is the gift of God.

Your "freedom" is really bondage and rebellion.

Playing Devil's Advocate for a sec.

If fivepointer lives a happy life because he thinks he is going to heaven, is that really bondage?

I'm guessing that Icelander views all religion as serving some psychological need of the believer and could not possibly be true. This is due to his hardened agnostic belief system.

Since no religion has any truth, and could never have any truth, then all religion must be created to serve the psychological needs of those who believe it.

While I think 99.98% of religion is false, I do believe that what I believe is absolute truth, and all other beliefs are false.

It must feel good to be part of the special minority that holds exclusive claim to truth. Too bad for all those who choose the wrong belief systems, eh?

Hardened belief system!

Holy shit. Call the kettle black! :rofl2:

if what you believes makes you happy, I guess go for it.

I am steadfast in what I believe.  Truth is absolute and not negotiable.  I never claimed flexibility when it comes to belief.  So the charge that I am calling the kettle black will not stick.

You are really bothered by the idea that some things are true and other things are false. Sounds like new age relativism. Truth is not a negotiation, it just is.

You don't have to answer the door. I get Jehovah Witnesses people in my face all the time. I consider them as holding to damnable heresy. Most of the time I just ignore them.

Truth is absolute and not negotiable.

I completely agree. What I think you're missing is that it's also unknowable. :yesnod:

This is why what you believe is called a belief.

I disagree that it is unknowable. Truth is absolute, and knowable, however God must reveal it.

If it was knowable, there would be no disagreement about it.

thedud,

how can I know with 100% certainty that I am truly sorry? is there a way I can measure my forgiveness against the forgiveness others?

well i say this pretty much cause heroin addicts or addicts of any thing. any who im not the person of judgment like that that is something you know yourself and is yours to hold.

i was more so talking about you in your self i notice people have a hard time growing and progressing as a person spiritually they day the accept to live a life of lies rather then just say the truth and be the truth or at least what they think the real truth is at the time, rather then creating ill-lusions and making people ill with their lack of self and the lack of wanting to convey the truth to others.
i have met to many people that would lie about something others careless about, you know whats the point of lieing if the only one your truly doing it to is yourself specially when the people know its a lie.

i said this for a bit of a reason

true evil was created the day ignorance and confusion were breed and the to take it further romped and stomped on truth and hid it away from the world.

when your extremely aware and know exactly what your doing and practicing that with other people that are two things are never evil, its freedom tho im not saying freedom is always pretty but its real and its true and for some damn reason wholesome.

yeah i could careless about this "god" so to say each is god and part of the life force as well as the "non living" tho when one doesnt declare themselves and accept what they deserve then that becomes one of the most evil things there are and its very ignorant cause it robs them of their share of the world and goes further to let themselves be controlled by others and vassals. from there you can go to say yes actually some people will truly will it and want to be servants, its part of freedom and need no tricking into to it. There is a natural system of order and balance and as a result the Hindus had a class system and other cultures had monarchs.

well what i like about people accepting their reality as truth is they could think your on mad drugs and then telepathically give you the feeling of those drugs do to being open and not understanding. i love when people give me free telepathic trips i with i could teach them too but most resist, but on the flip side i also take in their pains to heal so theres a blance of it all. if your a person just taking in vibes for consumption thats a vampire and those need to not be.

alot of people dont understand that one drag of a cig or of pot is or sip of water is enough for me to pick up the energy of their whole soul and feel their vibes and others. Its in interesting practice being a healer and feeling vibes. alot of pains people hide from themselves and its harsh bringing up to people and letting them feel their own pain and then helping them heal it. i refuse to just heal anyone cause its not true healing unless they are open to putting equal work into it.

which goes back to forgiveness you cant truelly be sorry or fogive unless your truely sorry understand why and understand why not to have it reoccour. and you have to understand why you were mistaken to forgive yourself.
