Attention Fellow Psychonauts!

I have a sort of weird mission: To send as many "Our Brain Is God" drawings as I can.

Each drawing sent out to whoever PM's me their adress will be unique, basically made for you. I'm not going to spend days on each drawing, however I won't be sending thoughtless heartless scribbles either.

So each drawing will be of a crazy psychedelic brain, with the phrase "Our Brain Is God"

My Goal is 50 I suppose, however 100 would be very awesome. I'm that crazy, or whatever.

WHY am I doing this?? Well, I want to personally reach out to this awesome community in a way that goes beyond ya'll reading my posts. I want to send you real as real can be good vibes. A picture you might be able to appreciate under the influence of the psychedelics we know and love! Cue sappy elevator jazz...:-)

Also, consider Shroomery Memorabelia; This program will end after a month. I also love Art, and this whole project is a Display of art itself: The desire to connect through expression.

I chose the catch phrase "Our Brain Is God" because it hearkens back to psychedelic days of old, however with a twist relating to the goal of a benign collective conscious. Kind of like The Shroomery itself. It is also funny because it isn't exactly grammatically correct I suppose due to the situation of one brain being ours.

It is a little funny in that way as to not read to deep into it; I'm not trying to be "Woah! Megadeep!" or anything, merely trying to provide a little substance...not too much. Take the message with a grain of salt. Afterall, my main goal is to personally draw people Trippy Looking Brain pictures that will look cool tripping.

This thread will be stickied for the duration of 2 weeks, as I am COMPLETELY serious, I will draw and send people Art. Whomever requests one, when you get it, it'd be cool to post your brain on this thread! If I don't send you one, feel free to slam me with bad ratings. including trade.

So, who wants some Vibes??

For people NOT in the U.S.A., your brain drawings will come later on, due too me having to go to the post office and get special stamps or something. I don't know, dumb american shit or something.

I will start today! I plan to get 10-12 finished and hopefully mailed out. Brains will be sent in no particular order, and remember, no brain is better than one another!

I might make a brain that looks like cosmic fungi...

Well I successfully made some brains, however they won't be in enevelopes and in that big blue steel box that looks like a monster when you're tripping thing we call a mailbox til' tomorrow.

I fucked up on one brain! On a run of drawing and coloring these WORKS OF THE HIGHEST ART while high, I accidentally wrote Brain Is Our God.

So...if any one wants my honestly probably high mistake, you can request it as your brain NOW. OR if no one wants it, it'll be the 101st brain sent out when the project is over.

so I'm 25ish-1. Not bad.

So more brains will be sent and drawn tomorrow, and It is waaaay past me bedtime.

I've always been a lurker here at The Shroomery, but I'm a member over at bluelight and I triage for erowid in my free time, so you all may have seen me before.

I fully understand if you don't want to, but I would love something like this... I think it would be an amazing undergoing for all of us to take... even if it's just one picture per person to send to someone else that we drew.

I'm horribly inartistic, but I think I could express my good vibrations in a different manner.

Regardless, I think this is an amazing idea and much love to you for it.

Alrighty. Going to make a bunch of more brains today and put some in the mail!

I will update later after I am sure of who's brains are being sent.

I only have a certain ammount of stamps left, though...so it might not be til thursday until I get some more stamps. SO, due to the ammount of brains ALREADY sent out, there should be enough entertainment on this thread to hold ya'lls over until I get the funds for stamps.

To let people know the procedure: I use a mixed media of of crayons,colored and graphite pencils, and markers on a piece of standard sized printer paper. The brain is drawn within a loose time frame of 10-15 minutes...sometimes a lil' more but never less. Then, going against what they teach you in art school, the drawing is folded, and signed, put in the envelope, Addressed, stamped and put in a mail box.

Some people may start getting their brains tomorrow! I can't wait to see some! Some of these I will never see again!:lol:

The goal is so close to 3/4 the ammount of brains I need.

Alrighty zen! The Shroomery's first annual 'Our Brain is God' project has finally come to a close and it has made me feel all sorts of ways. I got totally effin' spun of this art project, ya'lls.

Today the following will be done: All current brain requests and resends will be drawn and shipped out.

Done today if I feel like, if not then tomorrow: A reflective essay about the whole project. I mean there has to be a system to my (in?)sanity ,right?

I'm going to be at work all day, so I'm going to start the listed objectives in the afternoon.

This was really an amazing effort on your part, man. There hasn't been any kind of big, community-centered activity on here in a long time, and it's nice to see you spreading good vibes and little bits of your heart and soul though your art.

The Shroomery needs more things like this to happen, these remarkable little things which while being as insignificant as a few crayon drawings mean all the world to those who can appreciate it.

I might not have been able to get a picture of my brain up, but it hangs over my desk as a constant reminder of the message you've sent, which I'm sure has led many of us to some very insightful thinking sessions.

This project was a trip in of itself, and I mean that. It was an artistic adventure in variety, color relationship, gestalts, and many other adjectives quite similar to many of the words used to talk about psychedelics. It was certainly fun, interesting and at times unpredictable.

(I already am, so this really didn't phase me, niggas.)

general change in consciousness (as with many psycho actives) (Brains on my mind 24/7. That sentence will only make sense in this context ever, I hope.)

time perception alteration [ Wittmann 2006 ]
(I couldn't;t really tel you an accurate measurement of the time I spent, however it was just enough to bring awe and wonder)

time seems to pass more slowly (minutes seem to take hours) (Well this is reversed for me.)


lights seem brighter, sensitivity to light
(Well I have that naturally. I hate bright, bright lights)

starring and rainbow patterns around pinpoint lights
(I was tripping when drawing some, but you'll never know which.)

increased detection of motion in peripheral vision
(I had to be alert when I was drawing and the bowl was being passed to me. Inspiration is often joined up with a bic lighter.)

closed-eye visuals (common at medium or stronger dose)
(Thinking about what to draw. I usually don't go with the flow with "color art"--most of it is planned in my head. CEV'S for the win. Who's buying it?)

sleepiness, lethargy
(Analogy failed here, sorry kids.)

pupil dilation
(Nope. Insert lame joke here(if you can think of one)(just for the hell of it, another parenthesis sentence))

sensation of energy or buzzing in the nervous system/peripheral limbs
(Moving dem' crayons is all I got)

memories come to life
Well this will happen within the following weeks)

Well that is kind of how I really felt about the Project. It was a mini-trip complete with visuals of all sorts, humor, and sentiment.

I really love creating things and sharing them with people. It is a sort of passion of mine. Ideas, jokes, drawings, anything tangible really. And it is also Art: that which trys to share the intangible(sometimes) is something I am trying to share. Good will is something that I enjoy hitting people with like a lightning bolt.

I also did it for The Shroomery. This place has been nothing but helpful to me in the year that I have been here, I would have been an asshole for not doing something. I ACTUALLY learn the ins and outs of drug use due to those who kindly walked the road before me. I am in 100% favor of this site. I feel as is this site is on the cusp of something much bigger; We are all essentially dancing on the nose of a sleeping beast. Dance harder, I say. Hard but elegant, of course.

So those are the main reasons why I did it, off the top of my head. I know I got the idea originally because I kept seeing "Send me some vibes" threads popping up everywhere, and I wanted to send vibes for real; well at least not using a post.

Feel free to ask questions about the project, as I will be glad to answer something I didn't think of.

To those who never got a brain, I will draw a replacement, but it will be after the 26th. I gotta be in NYC.

To all those to have participated, thank you very much for everything. I really, really enjoyed the vibrations that totally vamped my hyper-thoughts, psychonauts

Well if I were able to dose my brains I wouldn't because it is illegal to dose both an organic brain and an abstract brain drawn on paper that certainly suggests an organic brain tripping out which is illegal.

However, I'd be up for a 2008 version of the Merry Prankstas. Infectious fun.

We have to figure out how to send micrograms of basically anything to go through powwer lines.:strokebeard::crazy2:
