Brand New Shmoopy Remote Viewing Challenge
    #7961552 -

Not to be confused with the other scores of Swami Challenges.

This one is different because it is occuring now. The people of three years ago did not have enough time and knowledge to hone their budding remote-viewing skills, but are certainly ready by now.

There is an object in or around my house that is most unusual. It is special to me. Guess it, er remote view it, and I will send it to you gratis.

Here are the rules: one must guess *remote view* the generic category of the object AND give some specifics such as size, shape and color(s). Example: Red, two door, European sports car. I will not require the year and model number or engine size.

I will upload a photo of the object to Diploid in the next day or two. If the category of object is accurate, but the description is close, but fuzzy, four judges (two materialists and two mystics) will be assigned to decide if the entry is a hit. In case of a tie the four judges shall elect a neutral fifth judge.

Entries shall close on midnight PCT on Feb 15th, 2008. One guess per member. More than one public guess shall nullify all entries.

The location is in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Diploid is naturally exempt from the challenge and if he reveals the object to a third party before the contest ends, I will put a VooDoo hex on him.

Alright, I'm game.

I've stickied this thread until the challenge is over.

1) You can't get married to your spouse who is the same sex as you.
2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child.
3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer.

4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

By the way, call this synchronicity or divine intervention, or plain ol' 'like minds think alike', but I'm working on something similar, only my version is more geeky and tests for the often-cited mind-machine interface where it's claimed that the mind can influence quantum level events.

I'm building a True Random Number Generator that produces the random numbers from a source of Quantum Indeterminacy, specifically, the decay of a radioisotope.

The goal is to see if those who participate in the experiment can influence these quantum events which can be detected by finding a statistically significant slew in the random numbers produced at the rate of several million per second over the course of several weeks that the experiment will be conducted. Stay tuned for more when I finish building and testing the gadget.

Like OC's challenge, mine also will be a genuine, honest search for the truth, whatever it may be.

This seems very odd. Shouldn't you send the item to Diploid before posting the challenge? Otherwise, when I jump in to say send me your rather worn copy of Psilocybin Mushrooms of the World, and somebody else comes along and asks for your Christmas tree cookie cutter, you will be forced to part ways with two beloved objects instead of one.

I would envision your test to be something like this:

Have the output of your generator print a graph in realtime. Perhaps have a period of 5 minutes of 'normal output, followed by 5 minutes of web viewers try to skew towards a 1 and then 5 minutes of web viewers trying to skew towards a zero or -1.

I would only do this maybe once or twice per day to keep people focused and interested.

At the end of the 15 minute period, the three graphs could be presented on a single page for comparison along with the specific details and a summation.

Go for it!

Am I to understand that it is an impossibility for the object to be viewed now and then posted about later?

*Shmoopy quickly deletes photo of dog-eared 'Psilocybin Mushrooms of the World' book.

OK, I will send a physical description to Diploid right now and the photo sometime soon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't YawningAnus a man? Of course there's absolutely nothing wrong with two consenting adult males enjoying an evening alone together with a bottle of fine wine, a Marvin Gaye album and a 12 inch double sided black dildo. :naughty:

true, but the way I lay dick on women makes them tell me all their secrets, even the time they got secks'd up by a man in Nevada wearing raquetball goggles who had a 12 inch black double sided dildo on his dresser.

Yes, he is, but if I replied directly to either your post or Veritas' or both, then I would be giving away secrets.

OK, after all that, my official joke guess (non-remote viewing attempt) -
is that the object is a framed picture of NiamNyx and Veritas together in your boudoir....  :smirk:

That one was easy. I saw your object as soon as you posted. I wouldn't even bother to enter such an easy to win contest as that. Get back to me when you have a real challenge.

Hue, I can use it if you don't want it. Just go ahead and win and give it to me. I really need one.
