as far as i know, the dessicant isn't poisonous or anything like that. it just viciously absorbs any moisture it's exposed to. look on the box, it says that if accidentally ingested all you need to do is promptly drink a few glasses of water. i would dry them as normal, try to remove any dessicant on them once they're done, and just drink some water when you eat them to be safe.

I've heard eating shrooms that have touched dessicant is BAD news. I wouldn't do it, sudden massive dehydration would make for an unfun trip IMHO.

it COMPLETELY depends on what dessicant.. so which is it?
if it is damprid, and you clean off as much as you can, then its fine, but drink alot of water with your shrooms.. caus you will be thursty!.. or at lest so they say.. the box claims that it is not toxic, and there is nothing to worry about in low amounts?

I've already eaten shrooms that touched calcium chloride. They had a very very salty taste, but I had no problems with becoming dehydrated. I'm not saying that that it wouldn't be good to drink water with them, but I just had no problems so don't worry too much unless you see visible chunks of calcium chloride stuck to your shrooms.

Most desiccants are completely harmless unless you eat a lot. In particular, DampRid is simply calcium chloride which is commonly called rock salt and sprinkled on roads throughout the US. Drierite is calcium sulfate and is equally harmless.
