Dessicant in shoe box?

Will dessicant in a closed shoe box with my shrooms work? It's definetely not air tight but it is a closed environment. I'm using damp-rid and I have the holder thing it comes with, so the shrooms coming in contact with the dessicant is a non issue. thanks

It might work but you'll find you might be changing the dessicant more often than you would like. You might try going out to like Target or any other store like that and getting yourself an air tight container. This will reduce the amount of air the desicant has to draw moisture out of and your shrooms will dry faster. I use a large tupperware container that has an air tight lid and it does the job perfect.

Yea air tight containers are very cheap, go to walmart... very cheap!
