according to mekenna and the mayans we more more like near the end of the line graph and its fixed points rather then infinte

My graph is our point in the universe. like we're just an occurance that is happening in between neg infinity and pos infinity

According to our dear friend Deepak Chopra (and others, I'm sure), each of us is at the center of infinite time, which extends forward and backwards from "here", forever.

I tend to disagree. Time is not infinite. Time is only the measurement of change and is thus based on materiality. When there are no more material things (for you, me and/or everyone) there will be no time.

All material things were created at some point, then they continue on for awhile and then they die (or are destroyed). This applies to EVERYTHING physical and thus to physicality itself. Time is, therefore, not infinite, but very damn close.

We are, of course, at the center of our own universes.

According to the law of conservation of mass, matter cannot be created nor destroyed.

There is no true center, just micro centers within a grand macroplace that has centers randomly throughout it. Or at least that's how I see it so far.

Isnt it conservation of mass and energy, Wherein mass can be converted to energy and possibly vice versa? I personally cant see a destruction, or an end, as pulsating was describing, but maybe if all matter was converted to energy or vice versa, the universe would reach some form of absolution. Sounds very unlikely but its a theory i guess. Anyways Ive never taken a physics course in my life so maybe thats just silly.

According to that "law" you are right.

But is everything "modern science" tells us actual and true?

If you explained many things that are "normal" to us in 2007 to someone in 1907, it is likely they would think you are describing impossibilities AND that you were quite insane.

I tend to go with my observations as opposed to what some politician (making goofy laws about plants) or scientist tells me, but that's just me.

Edit: And if something exists right now it must have been created at some point in the past...which, destroys the "law" of conservation of matter right there.

You know whats even funner, think about infinity relative to size. Look how nuclie protons and electrons structures and relationships reflect planets, moons and stars. interesting.....

Why throw out the possibility of infinity in this sense? Saying there is no beginning or end to the universe is no more far fetched than saying there is no beginning or end to time. Maybe its me, but it seems like they go hand in hand.

i've heard it both ways, but either way.

You're so right, BUT in this instance I find it difficult to believe things were JUST created.  Maybe all the materials existed and they slowly combined over a very long time.  The larger the grew the more mass they had and the greater their gravitational force and then whatever.  Reactions upon reactions and so on, I don't know...  I don't know where to go when talking about astronomy and it's so astonishing to think about that I think I'd go mad if I majored in it.

But as for my bias answer, I still stand by that all matter has been here from whenever whence ago.  maybe i'll just express it with -oo yrs ago.

It's the ultimate quest to find these (and a few other) answers.

Ahhh fuck it, I'm just gonna watch TV!

Seriously though, it's late and I'm tired. Thanks for the fun convo, see you all tomorrow.

yeah im a firm believer in that the philosophers were pretty accurate in saying in calling space the heavens and that it has a flow with astrology and that space is like a giant body system like our circulatory system. we are space condensed and in a different form just a microcosm or something of that such

math=material reality
Geometry is supreme
