Rational Logic & Infinity

If you can logically deduce that the passing existence of finite objects depends upon an unpassing infinite principle
Isit not then perfectly rational & logical to arrive at the conclusion that the true nature of what i am, must be that infinity?

This to me just makes perfect sense
I only bring this up because i truly feel that rational/logical thinking can lead to the same experience that mystics have described as 'the infinite'

Some so called 'rational thinkers' can't get their head round the fact that an infintie principle must exist... which imo, is just lack of use of the full capacity of the rational mind

If you intimately see that every single thing in this universe comes & goes
Then there must be a presence that does not come & go, in order to support all  that does come & go
Otherwse its saying everything comes from nothing, which is not logical or rational

That is the fault of deduction. You have made an unfounded assumption that somehow because things are temporary means there must be something infinite by comparison.

Considering duality is the mark of all things in existence its perfectly deductable that finite things must have an infinite source

I don't follow your inference.  Why does there need to be a presence that 'supports' everything that comes and goes?  What do you mean by supports?

There needs to be a space/time continuum in which these things exist, sure.  This continuum is hardly infinite though.

Like I said, its a problem of deduction itself. Its not logical. Induction however is. Can you observe anything infinite? No? then you have no basis for asserting its existence.


The only basis there need be for thing to exist is existence. You can theorize a plenum of existence metaphysically if you like and that's fine, but it does not help one iota philosophically.

Existence is Infinite, it always has been it always will be...
Theres no time existence started, theres no time it will end
Only particular things start & end, existence as itself is eternal

Can i observe anything Infinite?
Of course not, no 'thing' is Infinite...

I can observe the nature of Self as being Infinite
Its a non-phenomenal observation
A direct observation, an observation of observation itself

I agree. What I certainly disagree with are your conclusions.

Science has shown that the common denominator, energy, is at the base of all material existence. So with entropy material things degrade back into that so called "infinite principle" which is energy.

You are mystifying energy. There is no evidence that it is conscious in it's totality.

Most people would think the term existence to refer to an object, a thing
Perhaps im simply insane, but i honestly feel its true sanity

I see existence as eternal presence
It can not be removed, everything else can

We can perceive things existing in the space/time continuum, and we can use that knowledge to determine the dimensions of the continuum and whether or not it's curved.  As far as perceiving it directly... I would say no.

Perhaps there is a principle underlying all phenomena.
I call it the 'reality principle'.
"All things are composite."
Calling them 'finite' reduces them to less then what they are.
Calling them 'infinite' exaggerates them to more then what they are.
