I FINALLY found some lsd!

I'm freakin' excited! I've been looking forever, and finally got my hands on 10 beautiful hits I'm picking up tomorrow. I'll probably drop one or two the day after I get out of school.

Anyhow, quick story and a question. I have a friend who's moderately straight edge because he's in ROTC. Now because he can technically get pee tested randomly (although he never has been yet), he only drinks occasionally, has never smoked pot, and didn't even know what LSD was. I mentioned I found some to some friends and he asked what it was... after our 10 minute conversation he decided he'd like to try it with us because of how short the testing period is for it.
I offered to show him some trip reports so he could know what to expect and he said "Nah, let's just do it" Is that a smart way to go about it? I mean, should he really just follow the spirit guide and see where it takes us, or will he freak?

Depends on how strong it is.. I have a hard time freaking out on acid unless I'm dosed off my nut.

I would advise your friend to do some background research, as he will more than likely get ate up by propaganda and insanity..

Make sure you present him with the cold hard facts; because I guarantee you he will hear propaganda off of his friends. I make it my duty; every single day, to dissemble the mounds upon mounds of brainwashing done by the government and stupid ass anti-drug campaigns.

As do I. Even to my friends who already know. I still lecture them. Hopefully they'll start doing it to others. If everybody really KNOWS, then how can it remain illegal?

well that's the thing, he doesn't really have any propaganda either... when I mentioned it, he said "what's LSD? Why is it called Acid?"

he literally has no idea what it is except that it can make you have profound insights, some big giggles, and see some pretty colors.

I am not going to comment on him doing it or not; however, he should know that it CANNOT be tested for in urine. That should not be a concern.

He hasnt smoked cannabis, and your considering offering him LSD?

Now i know that sounds like im being a dick, but he has no previous drug experience or tripping experience.
And the fact he wants to try it, after a 10 minute chat.

It seems to me these people dont actually know what they are getting into, and then scare the shit out of themselves, and never try anything ever again.

Its upto you, but if it was me i would probably smoke a joint with him first and see how he takes that.

well i dont see the problem of that being his first experience. It was alot of peoples first experience.

He just does not need a full dose, maybe .5-1 full blotter.

and explain to him that IT CAN NOT hurt him, and NO MATTER WHAT he WILL come down.

I think trying LSD w/o having tried pot would be an amazing experience. Pot is great and a strong psychedelic but can be very overwhelming for many. Especially if you aren't ready for the strong high coupled with foggy thoughts.

I would say he would be good taking a single hit.

I think the fact he was so ready to do it isn't really an issue as he is not a usual drug user. Some people just feel compelled to do something. The less he knows the better b/c as a non-user of pot or other psychedelics, the more he knows is just going to confuse him + scare him + put limits on what he thinks LSD is going to be like.

Good luck for both of you! If he decides to partake, post a reply letting us know how he handled it! It would be interesting to see what someone from his perspective would have to say about it.

I would give him at least 2 hits, I know if I would have taken only 1 hit instead of the 3 strong hits I took my first time I probably would have been somewhat dissapointed, but no I got blasted into outerspace lol, I will NEVER forget my first acid trip, thank god I had enough :wink:. I would also let him know its not something you take just to get fucked up, it gets pretty serious, and just do your best to let him know how crazy it really works in your head and makes your head work. Trip reports arn't really necessary as I find they give newbies preconceived thoughts about tripping, and it usually ends up affecting their trip in some way. Anyways I'm sure if hes a somewhat mature individual he can handle 2 hits and only have that much more fun.

At lower doses it's really quite rare to freak out on acid. Give him one or two hits and he should be fine. It depends on what type of person he is, really.

2 60-80ug blotters is not the same experience as 2 90-120ug blotters.

Fuck it, split the ten-strip with him!!! Seriously though, I'd suggest that he starts with a hit, and then by the 40 minute point, give him another. I know, it's a pussy way of taking acid, but if it's his first time this way would make it less likely that he'll freak out. I've introduced many friends to LSD, but since I don't really know any "straight edge" types, I can't say that any of them were unfamiliar with drugs. This should be fun for you to watch...especially since the dude is one of those ROTC kinda guys. I've always wanted to see one of them trip while trying to act all proper and military-like.

Wouldn't that be fun to watch? There was one ROTC Nazi in particualr who I would have loved to see on LSD, but that was like, 7 years ago and he's cool now. He just had to do a few years in the air force to get the dick out of his ass. Also, smoking pot kind of helped to make him less of a military robot.

i hate how people change after the military, they get brainwashed.

A few of my friends that are in the military, when i asked them why him personally joined they all gave me the exact same answer. Its like they got coached to say it when people asked.

One hit for a first time only makes sense if its really strong acid IMO, not if its just normal or even weak acid. 1 hit = have fun, 2 hit = have fun on probably a different level. I say go with 2, 1 isn't really enough and 2 would probably be just perfect for a first time. I mean you actually want to give him some of a feel for acid, and IMO 1 hit wont suffice for that, its like a teaser in most cases.

but the fact is that he may not know how potent they are so start with one judge if you need more and dose accordingly..

Ok so given the chances they are probably of average potency or weaker he should take two either way, and even if they happen to be strong hits 2 shouldn't be something that he can't handle and enjoy with a little support. I could understand if we were talking about 3 hits and 6 hits, yeah taking twice the smaller amount in this case would result in a huge difference, but cmon 1 and 2 hits generally isn't that much acid either way, so to act like somebody can't handle 2 hits for their first time is a little silly =p
