I've tried acid maybe 4-5 times before but i only managed to have a full blown experience this NYE. And i loved it.
Well, i got the feeling acid is a crazier drug than shrooms. It's like it has a free will and will take you where ever it wants. On shrooms i think you're more in control to take the trip where you want it to go. On acid you find yourself doing stupid stuff without even noticing it. Like you're quietly sitting down and suddenly you get up and start running somewhere and then you think 'why the fuck am i doing this'.

I find it easier to talk to people on acid than on shrooms. But what i say on shrooms is definitely more rational than what i say on acid. Like on shrooms i have a hard time constructing a sentence but when it comes out it makes sense. On acid it seems i can perfectly costruct a rational thing to say but when it comes out doesn't make any sense at all.

I think acid is more of a trip (litterally) than shrooms. Kinda like a roller coaster - you sit back and enjoy the ride :smile:

Dunno yet which one i prefer but i'm sure of one thing: i love both  :laugh:

I've only tripped on shrooms like 15 - 20 times (and never up the 4g mark) and my LSD experience is quite small so i may have other insights about the two when i have a bit more experience.

I think it's definitely worth it to try LSD at least once.

The lsd high feels A LOT different to me then shrooms in any dose. Lsd feels like a synthetic high(of course) and shrooms feels like a natural high.

I do find LSD somehow "colder" then shrooms, more impersonal, superficial. And also a little more boring in retrospective then shrooms. And I could do without the headache.
And the fucked up (in a good way) things I see/feel/think on shrooms really kick LSD's ass. And yeah, LSD is for a "happier" (younger, energetic) crowd.

I would personally choose shrooms over cid any day, but I havent had a chance to drop for four years and would greatly like to do it again. The trip is completely different and the best way for you to find out what the difference is would be to try it. The come down from my acid trips greatly diminished my love for the drug and I feel that the shrrom come down is virtually non existant. Plus nothing is better than growing a natural substance for your own consumption because the work involved makes the experience that much more personal.

I havent tried both so many times, I'm kind of a newbie in the world of psychedelics (even though I read and know alot about it), but Shrooms kick LSD's ass. If anybody is tripping while reading this they will understand me when I say that shrooms are more "real". I relate acid to people who want to go to Trance party's and see colors and stuff like that... but shrooms are for people who want to have an experience they'll never forget in the forest with the the whole world twisting and whirling around... so its up to the person I guess... but I think the majority of people would prefer shrooms, peace.

I've dosed LSD 100s of times. There's been a drought of it for some time now, so I decided to grow mush. After several doses, I've noticed that shrooms just aren't intense enough for me. Also I can do without the physical effects and the unpredictability of the trip. With LSD, things just flow. There's an energy and the introspective ability of LSD is unmatched by anything. Ego loss is much easier attained on LSD, and you don't get any of the nasty side effects of the mush. But, I'll experience either given the right set, setting, and time.

This thread is kinda old but i wouldnt want to start another of these, but the acid vs shroom debate is great.

acid- pro's - the visuals on acid are beyond shrooms and my god, the energy you feel on acid is so intense. The trip just keeps on going for a decent amount of time which is a pro to me. The next day feels like a rebirth(only when i am pulling an allnighter) but if i sleep after acid and wake up, i just kinda feel a little achey and dirty.
con's - wow the inner thigh pain i get from acid is nasty. Feels like i ran 20 miles everytime i get up and walk around. The leg pain gets annoying after awhile. The bloated feeling i get is horrid as well. My stomach never seems to calm down.

shrooms- pro's much more spiritual than acid. The idea's that race through my head on shrooms are much more meaningful than acid, but its the same idea's over and over and over. It's a blissful experience to live. A pro to me for shrooms makes every thing seem pointless to you on shrooms. All your worries seem to go away. Everything you think is very logical.
con's WORST head ache of my LIFE the next day WTF. The next day on shrooms is so unbearable everytime i have taken them. It's tough to concentrate on anything that is going around. My mind just seems to wander in circles all the time.

I'm not sure which i like better, but i have access to acid right now and it much cheaper so ill stick with it for now on. But the moments i had while shrooming havent been beat.

I would have to say LSD because it lasts a good long time and I just love it! Music on LSD cannot be compared to any other drug,. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy shrooms immensly, but LSD is just plain fucking ludicrous!!

In my life I've done mushrooms at least 20 times, typically an 1/8 oz. at a time but also a couple smaller doses and a few 1/4 trips, sometimes with Passionflower extract tea. I've tried acid 7 times, strongest trip being 1.5 hits of excellent plain grey blotter January 2003. I've never bad-tripped on either drug, unless you count coming off of cocaine while trippin', which sucks on both. My vote is for shrooms.

Shrooms pros- truly spiritual drug. i have no doubts this drug can benefit me. unmatched, natural euphoria. positive introspection. i can remember favorite shroomin thoughts and communicate them. 6 hr trip fits into my day. easily available. mental functions enhanced. plenty of energy when i need it. creativity enhanced.

cons- visuals are limited when compared to LSD. hard to eat a 1/4 of shrooms.

Acid pros- unlimited visuals. extremely intense. generally cheap when available. longer trip means better bargain for your drug money. synnergizes like magic with weed.

cons- synthetic, unnatural feeling. i feel my mental function obliterated. i become extremely quiet- usually the only things i can say are along the lines of "doin' good" or "i'm ok" when people ask why i am so quiet. headache after the 11th hour feels like my brain's been cracked open. doses are hard to come by. 12 hour trip gets boring after 5 hours.

the choice is personal. i think this thread goes to show that both drugs have their loyal followers. it'd be interesting to see what aspects of personality corresponed to acid-shroom preference.

i love acid more than anything in this world.

shrooms are good but i often get uncomfortable and feel as if something bad is going to happen. As with acid...everything is always good...i may feel like im about to die but im used to that by now. Acid just fucking kicks your ass...acid = fun. Is so hard to find around hear and whenever i get it i just gobble it up till its gone. When i got some yellow flypaper...i ate 2 hits and as i wascomming down i ate 3 more. I can never get tired of acid...im obsessed. To me i learn a whole lot more on acid...shrooms are more like things i never knew existed are being shown to me, but acid is like unlocking the secrets of the universe i spend my whole like trying to figure out.

but yeah...i think its a personal preferance...acid just had sucks a great following and there is somehting very strange about it...i can never put my finger on it but its like a secret or somehting...i dont know...just plain wierd and god damnit i want to figure it out! :smile:

Well from what I experienced, it has been a long time for me but, I LOVE 'em BOTH! I have done LSD about 10 times maybe more, and done Psilocybin cubes only three times. The most acid I took at one time was 3 hits, good stuff..
I ate 3.5 Grams of cubes one time and my tree out front of my house looked so colorful, but it wasn't that intence like acid, but I seemed to see brighter more florescent, brighter visuals. The trip on shrooms was more controlled. I am not sure how strong they were but I wanted more. The other times I did shrooms I ate only 2 grams, and the other time about one gram. I just noticed a little from that.
But Cid is more of a rollercoaster, it takes you on its own directional trip and it is wild! Drink some orange juice and bring the ganja when you are peaking out...pot and orange juice kick it in good.... I wanna do acid or shrooms sometime soon, in the mountains when it is warmer. I have access to cid but I want to plan it out first I also want to trip during the day and not at night...After all it has been 8 years since I done acid, even longer for shrooms...
