The Plurality of Worlds

Reading Fontenelle's "Conversations on the Plurality of Worlds" opened my eyes to an idea of the infinite.

Some of us can agree that the infinite loops back into itself, in some sort of infinitesimally smaller world back through the infinitesimally larger world through some sort of paradox.

I have always had the idea that space and everything in it is just an example of what makes everything else up. It is the building block of building blocks within and made up of itself.

Do planets grow? Maybe the Earth is growing and aging. Things live and their remains make the Earth that much larger, over an unfathomable amount of time, is it a larger planet? Maybe all of space is like this? Does our solar system and all others revolve around a center? Is this like the proton/neutron and electrons that surround it? The nucleus of a cell?

Maybe it is the same as a cell or microscopic system in our body. Maybe that is how we grow, age, etc. Maybe space is just showing us the infinite in ourselves and how it is.

I think I've missed my train, the simple idea has become a string of tangents. Maybe someone will get the gist though. :heart:

I couldn't imagine that the biomass that accumulates could ever contribute much of a change to the size of the planet.

I'm not well-versed in any kind of science, yet I think that every galaxy has a gravitational center, and I think there is a theory that this center is a black hole. Perhaps someone more familiar with the art will elaborate. :wink:
