Worlds Within the Margin
    #1901766 - 09/10/03 12:32 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

(was led into this from a post I was making in the thread about nothingness, Enjoy!)

What I do know is that it is now sort of ignorant to think of our universe as a massive collection of stars and galaxies that extend outwards in every direction of our planet, that everything exists on a level that we could see if we had powerful enough telescopes.. We are part of a system. The key here is perspective. I wouldn't doubt it if everything in existance, relevant to us, is only part of a single organism that experiences a world as vast as ours.. Our entire universe being just one cell out of trillions in its body.

We and everything around us are composed of almost infinite structures at infinite levels.. To decide that we ourselves and the whole physical realm around us isn't only a small struture within a much larger structure that has its own individual view in a world as vast as ours is pretty presumptious.. I think our universe could be zoomed up to a view where it is only one cell in some basic body structure, which can be zoomed up to a complete organism in comparison to us, which could, of course, be zoomed up further..

Anyways, I think it would be interesting to post up the full lyrics to Worlds Within the Margins, by IN FLAMES, since it is my signature and it is highly related, so, here goes:

Quote:

Raindrop hits the leaf changing it's position slightly on the street
next to pools of monotonous waters
He walks; Slipping feet from steps at random; He falls

In the space between his body and the ground
Comets cast off their names, stellar neurones misfire

Witnesses
inhale the seed
and spit out a million branches

Buds abloom in all directions
From which events occur
relations and virused meetings
catch fire and explode
In the margin of butterfly wings
entire cycles of evolution
outplayed and faded
sparked away and leaned back into
vacuum-filled nirvana

Between the two of my eyes
feverish fractal scar
Dance like were they're on drugs
peyote labyrinth re-mapped exits
A hasty blink
and a million life-to-comes
will never be the same
as they never were

In the kinetic energy of a moving fist
lies a birth-machine for a parallel universe

With the first movement in organic scap
came a bouquet of alternative answers
all different multiplied and re-divided

Coded in the spinal cord of a trilobite
written between the legs on the Meganeura
suburban city maps and dormant dictator semen
marked their way through time

Pretty neat stuff for a melodic death metal band, eh? And everyone is saying that their lryics have no content..

I especially like the last part.
Peace.

Nice, i like it.
Makes me remember my old days of Deicide, Cannibal Corpse and co, not that the lyrics have anything to do but i almost feel the intensity of that kind of music going up my spine every time i remember. I was a fucking headbanger damit !!!

Well, my "melodic death metal" is different than most death metal, the acclaimed "Gothenburg sound", stuff like IN FLAMES, Dark Tranquillity, Opeth... stuff with meaning, melody, and heavyness.

But yeah, quite the concept, these worlds within the margins..
Peace.
