Even if it didn't exist. Which it does. If you don't follow science, fine. But then don't act like you know something about it. It's shocking and scary to me that many people still don't believe what the majority of science already knows.

Anyone who doesn't believe we are affecting the planet's climate in some way is a fool. And even IF it wasn't real. Should we be always filling the air with more pollution everyday.

I bet if you got lung cancer you might start to care all of a sudden.

Here in Canada Asmata goes up 13% in boys, and 10% in girls EVERY ten years since 1980. And we are set to met, or exceed that mark again in 2010. So pretend that science isn't based on facts. And that when the majority of the worlds scientists agree on something it doesn't mean shit.

We are still killing ourselves. We still triggered the 6th great extinction. Regardless of the climate. We are still running suicidally low on resources. And using far too much.

BTW. Global Warming is real. If you actually follow science, it's as plain as day. I think some people would like to believe it's not real for whatever reason. But the science is clear.

I watched that film and was taken aback by it, until I looked at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Global_Warming_Swindle

The guy who made the film knowingly distorted information - including fudging the graph that they show several times in the film. One of the scientists they interviewed is also angry because he is fully for global warming, but through some nice editing tricks he was made to appear as if he was against global warming.

But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.

I did not intentionally add anything more to this thread for a reason. I'm not for or against global warming. Some interesting replies...

I think if anything the lesson I learned (or re-learned) from watching
this is that it is possible to "prove" almost anything to the masses weather it is true or false.

Indeed. 10 years ago, their skepticism might have been warranted, but with what is known about it by now, it's as if someone were still skeptical about relativity after the dropping of the atomic bomb.

I was watching cspan the other day and the topic was global warning...
one senator ( I believe west Virgina, BUT I may be wrong) was being a complete ass hole and suggesting evidence that supposedly shows that global warming isn't real and basically just opposing it with bullshit reasoning, it really upset me. But hey, politics are far from what they should me
the people in charge of major corporations need to realize that profit will mean nothing if we don't have a habitable world to live in for the future generations.
