It's the thing that is mentioned in the OTD disclaimer. Since you are a mod here, you should therefore be already familiar with what it is.

No, that's not an acceptable definition of vocal racism. You are proposing that we do not permit vocal racism on this website, so I'm certain that you have an understanding of what vocal racism is beyond "the thing that is mentioned in the OTD disclaimer".

No doubt, but this point is irrelevant to the point that I was making. Let us review your statement once more:

I'm quite sure black people use the word nigger more often than white people do. And you know what, if you're cool with black people, you can use the word too, because it doesn't offend them.

The word implies brotherhood. It is only when racists use the term that black people (generally speaking, of course) get offended. I am willing to bet most people who use the term nigger are not racist.

OTD is a place to get shit off your chest because life demands it and we can't always yell at the top of our lungs or punch through a wall. So we do silly, stupid, harmless things like call each other nigger in OTD.

Or how about we just ask Moe Howard, the most famous nigger of all OTD, whether the use of the word nigger offends him. He'll probably say, "Hell naw, cracka," and that'll be the end of it.

LF, I have honestly never had anything against you, and I have never given a flying fuck whether all or none of OTD dislikes you, but your search for drama, popularity and politics thinly masked as a crusade against freedom of speech, oops, i mean equality causes me to type this. I still don't really have anything against you, but your idea is at best, silly, and at worst, shit mixed with a stick.

The problem here is that LF is saying that the language in OTD is HATE SPEECH.


Hate speech is a term for speech intended to degrade, intimidate, or incite violence or prejudicial action.

What is being said in OTD is tongue-in-cheek, or at the very worst it is trolling for a reaction.

If someone came into OTD spouting REAL hate speech they would be berated like any other moron.
